Kenan Yildiz: Arsenal eye shock swap deal with Juventus
Arsenal aim for a surprise swap deal for Juventus player Kenan Yildiz for the new season
Arsenal are all set to apply for the transfer deal of Kenan Yildiz. Although the Turkish player signed a new long term contract with Juventus last year, the Gunners haven’t given up yet. Yildiz has been on their wishlist for a long time.
Yildiz to join the Gunners this summer?
The Gunners aim to secure Yildiz’s transfer as soon as possible, as reported by TEAMtalk. They have recently made contact with Yildiz’s camp ahead of the next season. If everything goes as per plan, Arsenal may offer a player in exchange to the Italian club, although the name hasn’t been revealed yet.
Yildiz has been part of Juventus since 2022. Before that, he was part of Bayern Munich’s youth academy. The Turkish winger played for the team between 2012 and 2022. In 2022, he joined Juventus, and was soon promoted to the senior team a year later.
Yildiz’s stats for the 2025-26 season at Juventus, as per FOTMOB:
| Competitions | Matches | Goals | Assists |
| Serie A | 36 | 10 | 6 |
| Coppa Italia | 1 | 0 | 0 |
| UEFA Champions League | 10 | 1 | 3 |
| FIFA Club World Cup | 4 | 3 | 1 |
Will Yildiz be a good fit at Arsenal?
Yildiz is a technically gifted attacking midfielder. His quick feet allow him to make attacks from difficult positions. This is why the Gunners are aiming for his transfer. They had previously applied for similar players Vinicius Jr. and Yan Diomande ahead of this summer. However, things did not go according to the plan.
Despite that, Arsenal continue to be hopeful. They’re the current Premier League champions, and want to maintain the winning momentum. Team manager Mikel Arteta wants to retain the title next season. It’s been three years since any team managed to retain the Premier League title, and Arteta knows that he cannot afford to miss this golden opportunity. If Yildiz joins Arsenal this summer, he will strengthen the team’s midfield.
What’s next for Kenan Yildiz?
Yildiz is currently preparing for the next season. He is also focusing on improving his fitness. The Turkish winger suffered multiple injuries last year. This included a calf injury in May 2026, which ruled him out of Juventus’ final league match against Torino. However, he recovered in time for the FIFA World Cup. Turkey had qualified for the World Cup after more than 24 years. However, they couldn’t proceed beyond the group stage, losing to both Australia and Paraguay. They only won the final group match against hosts USA as a consolation.
If Yildiz wants to create a big impact in club football, he needs to improve on his fitness concerns. He has a clean record in terms of disciplinary issues, and hopes to make the world take notice of his skills next summer. Meanwhile Arsenal are aggressively signing one player after another for the next season. Some of them include Bruno Guimaraes, Piero Hincapie, Christos Tzolis, and Ezri Konsa among others. Even players like James Scanlon are on the Gunners’ wishlist. Team manager Mikel Arteta wants a stronger side for the next season, and he will leave no stone unturned to achieve it.
As for Kenan Yildiz, it will be interesting to see which club he eventually chooses for the next season. If he decides to stay with Juventus, Arsenal will be forced to look for other options. However, if he is interested to join the North London club, nothing can stop Arsenal from signing the player ahead of the next season.
