Arsenal have completed the signing of striker Igor Tyjon from Blackburn Rovers. The 18-year-old has joined the Gunners after several attempts to reach an agreement, as per latest transfer news.

Arsenal complete Igor Tyjon signing

Arsenal have confirmed the arrival of Tyjon from Blackburn after finally reaching an agreement for the young striker. As reported by BBC Sport, Tyjon made three senior appearances for Blackburn after making his first-team debut at just 16 years old. He has also represented both England and Poland at youth level.

Arsenal have been trying to sign Tyjon for several transfer windows but were previously unable to reach an agreement with Blackburn. The Gunners eventually secured a deal worth an initial £1m, with a further £2m available in potential add-ons. Tyjon has been given the No 64 shirt and will initially join Arsenal’s Under-21 squad.

However, the teenager is also expected to train with Mikel Arteta’s first team at times. There is a belief that he could make a senior appearance this season, particularly if Arsenal progress in the domestic cup competitions. Tyjon said he was excited to finally complete the move and praised Arsenal’s pathway, staff and players. He also revealed that he already knows several members of the squad from his time with the England youth teams.

Igor Tyjon’s career so far

Tyjon joined Blackburn’s youth academy in 2023. He had previously begun his youth career at Rochdale. He quickly made an impression, scoring on his Under-21 debut at just 15. The striker later made his Blackburn first-team debut at 16 and went on to make three senior appearances for the club over the last two seasons. His most recent first team appearance was in the EFL Cup in 2025.

His record at youth level is even more impressive. Tyjon scored 13 goals in 33 appearances for Blackburn’s Under-21 side. Although mainly a striker, he can also play as a winger or No 10, giving Arsenal another versatile attacking option for the future.

Tyjon has represented both Poland and England at youth level. His parents are Polish, and he played for Poland Under-16s before switching to England. He was also part of England’s squad at the Under-17 World Cup last season, giving him experience of international football despite his young age.

Arsenal continue academy rebuild

Tyjon’s arrival is another sign of Arsenal’s focus on strengthening their academy. The Gunners have made several additions to their youth set-up this summer, with Elijah Upson joining after leaving Tottenham and Axel Donczew also set to arrive from Cardiff.

Arsenal are also expected to complete deals for James Scanlon and Habeeb Ogunneye from Manchester United. For Tyjon, the move provides an opportunity to develop within one of the biggest clubs in the Premier League. Regular Under-21 football should help him adjust to his new surroundings while training with the senior squad could give him valuable experience.

Arsenal will hope Tyjon can keep improving and, in time, challenge for a place in Arteta’s first team. His ability to play in different attacking roles could also help his progress. The striker now has a fresh chance to prove himself at Arsenal. The move comes after the club spent more than a year working to complete the deal.

]]>
Liam Delap finally has a fresh start. The striker has left Chelsea for Nottingham Forest in a club-record transfer deal, as per the latest news. After one tough season in London, the 23-year-old now has a chance to rebuild his career.

Liam Delap lands at Nottingham Forest

As reported by Chelsea’s official website, Delap has completed a permanent transfer to Nottingham Forest. The striker moved to Stamford Bridge last June from Ipswich Town. His time in west London was not easy. Forest have paid at least £45 million for the forward. The deal can rise to £50M with add-ons. Delap has signed a five-year deal at the City Ground.

This deal is a club record of for Forest. As they beat their previous one for Omari Hutchinson, which was £37.5M. The move also gives Chelsea a financial return. The Blues paid £30M to bring Delap from Ipswich last summer. They could make up to £20M from his sale if all add-ons are met.

Forest see chance for a fresh start

Forest coach Oliver Glasner made Delap a key target this summer. The manager wanted another striker who could lead the attack and give the team a clear focal point. Delap now gets that chance at the City Ground. The forward had been linked with more than one Premier League club. Everton were among those interested. Yet Forest pushed hardest and got the deal over the line.

The transfer gives Delap a chance to rebuild after his difficult spell at Chelsea. That may matter as much as the fee. He arrives at a club where the manager wanted him and where he should have a clear role. Delap also made his feelings clear after the move. He said he could not wait to get started and praised the club’s history.

Chelsea

Can Liam Delap find his best form?

Before moving to Chelsea, Liam Delap had scored 12 Premier League goals for Ipswich Town. This was during the 2024/25 season. That record helped him attract major interest and led to his move to Stamford Bridge. His Chelsea spell did not match those numbers, with injuries also hurting his season.

Now, Forest are betting that a change of place can bring out the player they saw before. Their need for a striker is obvious. Sky Sports noted that Forest have looked for a strong No 9, while Chris Wood had injury problems last season and other options do not offer the same style.

For Delap, regular football could be the key. He is still only 23, so there is time to improve. A strong run at Forest could help him regain confidence and show why Chelsea paid for him in the first place. For the Blues, the move is a quick financial win. For Forest, it is a major gamble, and for Delap, it may be the most important move of his young career.

Author’s Opinion

Liam Delap needed a change after a difficult year at Chelsea. Forest offer him a clear role and a coach who wanted him. The pressure will still be high, but regular football could help the young striker find his best form again.

Chelsea have moved quickly in the race for Honest Ahanor. The 18-year-old defender has become a clear target for Chelsea, as per the latest transfer news. What looked like a first step in talks has now moved much closer to a deal, with both sides making progress.

Chelsea step up Honest Ahanor interest

As reported by Metro, Chelsea opened talks with Atalanta and the player’s camp on August 25. The Blues were looking at Ahanor as a young option for their defence. The report also said Atalanta had already rejected two offers for the player. Ahanor is only 18, but he has already made a name for himself in Italy. He joined Atalanta from Genoa last summer for a reported fee of €16 million.

The player mainly works at left-back. He can also play as a left sided centre-back. That range is useful for Chelsea, who want players who can cover more than one role. He also made his Champions League debut last season in a win over Club Brugge. The youngster has also moved into the Italy set up. He received his first senior call-up in May and now has two caps for the national team.

Honest Ahanor to Chelsea transfer deal in progress as per latest news

Chelsea are in talks with Atalanta and the player. The Italian side are willing to sell if their €40 million valuation is met. In pounds, that is about £34.3 million. The same report says Chelsea first showed interest in Ahanor while working on the deal for Marco Palestra. The right-back also moved from Atalanta to west London during this summer window.

The deal has now moved close to the final stage. The report says that the Premier League side are ready to sign Ahanor for a fee of about £40 million. It also says the defender has been cleared to take his medical and work on the final personal terms. That would be a big step from the first talks reported only days earlier.

Young defender with room to grow

Ahanor brings more than age and promise. He has already played senior football, faced top clubs in Europe and stepped into the Italy set up. His speed and strong style have also helped him stand out. Chelsea manager Xabi Alonso is looking to build a strong defence for the years ahead. Ahanor fits that plan because he is young and can play in more than one place.

For Atalanta, the fee would be a large return on a player signed only last year. For Chelsea, it would be another move aimed at the future. The move also shows how strongly Chelsea are planning for tomorrow, rather than only today, as young players continue to shape their long-term squad. There is still work to do before the transfer can be called final.

Author’s Opinion

Honest Ahanor looks like a player with real upside, but Chelsea should not rush his progress. At 18, regular football may matter more than a place in the first team. A careful loan could help him grow and handle the pressure of a big move.

]]>
Arsenal have made a fresh transfer move for Endrick as per the latest transfer news. This brings a fresh twist to the Real Madrid youngster’s future. The Gunners need more options in attack after Gabriel Martinelli’s exit, but Madrid still appear keen to keep their young star.

Arsenal renew Endrick transfer interest

As reported by TEAMtalk, Arsenal have made fresh enquiries about Endrick as they look for a new left-sided attacker. The 20-year-old has returned to Madrid after a strong loan spell with Lyon, but his role under Jose Mourinho is still a talking point. The Gunners had already asked about Endrick earlier this summer. That happened during talks over Vinicius Junior. Arsenal also checked on Arda Guler.

With Vinicius now tied to a new deal, and Guler starting Real Madrid’s first two games, Endrick has again become a serious name for north London. Fresh contact was made with Madrid this week over the Brazilian. Arsenal are looking for attack help before Martinelli leaves. It also notes that Mourinho has said Endrick will stay, even as fresh interest keeps growing.

Lyon spell adds to the interest

The Brazilian’s last season gave him a reason to hope for more minutes. He joined Lyon on loan in January after struggling for regular game time in Spain. Endrick then found his touch and confidence in France. He had a good spell in Lyon and that form helped remind clubs why Real Madrid paid an initial €60 million for him in 2022.

Now back in Spain, the Brazil forward is facing a fresh test. He has been dealing with a tendon issue and has not played in Madrid’s opening games. People close to Endrick are not yet sure he will have a big role under Mourinho, despite the manager’s public support. The young forward is aware of the Gunners’ interest. A move could offer him a clearer path to regular football.

Madrid hold the key for the Endrick move

Arsenal have started talks with Madrid about a possible deal for Endrick. Yet Mourinho has already made his view clear. He does not want the forward sold or loaned out. That makes any deal difficult. Madrid signed Endrick as one of Brazil’s biggest young talents, and the club still sees value in his future. Mourinho has also spoken highly of him, which suggests the coach wants time to work with the player.

Still, the late timing could matter. The Premier League side have now sold Martinelli to Al-Hilal and need another option on the left. They are also watching Igor Paixao, while Malick Fofana and Marcus Rashford remain possible routes. Julian Alvarez is another target, but the plan for him is as a central forward. Arsenal have not given up on Endrick. The fresh contact shows that the interest is now more than a simple check.

Author’s Opinion

Endrick’s talent is not in doubt, but playing time may matter most at this stage. Arsenal could offer a fresh chance, yet the La Liga side may be right to stay patient. The key question is simple, where can Endrick grow best right now?

Dan Gore is closing in on another loan move away from Manchester United. The Man United midfielder has drawn transfer interest from several clubs, but Luton Town now look to be in front, as per the latest news. The choice could give Gore a key chance to play often and keep his progress moving.

Dan Gore to Luton: Move gathers pace

As reported by BBC Sport, Gore is in advanced talks with Luton Town over a season-long loan. No final deal had been agreed at the time of the report, but talks had moved a long way forward. The 21-year-old spent last season with Rotherham United, making 34 appearances. The move makes sense for both sides. Gore needs regular senior football, while Luton need more depth in midfield. The Hatters are also aiming high in League One this season.

Working with Jack Wilshere could be a major reason behind Gore’s choice. Wilshere played in midfield during his own career, so the young player could see the move as a chance to learn from someone who understands the role well. Gore had several options before talks with Luton moved forward. He had been part of Michael Carrick’s squad at the start of pre-season, but the plan was still for him to spend the campaign away from Old Trafford.

A fresh chance for Dan Gore after Rotherham

Gore returned to Man United after a useful spell at Rotherham. He played 34 times for the Millers last term. His stay also helped him earn a strong standing at the club after a season in which he became a regular part of the side. His path has not always been easy. Injuries affected earlier loan spells and slowed his progress. His recent form has also brought fresh attention from clubs looking for a young midfielder who can grow.

The Hatters had been tipped to close in on the Man United academy player as they looked to strengthen Wilshere’s side. The interest also came at a useful time for the club, with Luton looking to build a squad that can compete near the top of League One. Regular starts could help him improve his game, gain confidence and return to the Premier League side with more senior experience.

Manchester United - Man Utd

Why this loan could matter

Luton are chasing a strong season, and that gives Gore a clear role to fight for. The League One picture includes several clubs with promotion hopes, such as Huddersfield Town, Bradford City and Doncaster Rovers. That underlines how tough the division can be, but it also means Gore should face useful tests every week. The player’s decision to work with Wilshere is thought to be an important factor.

For United, the ideal outcome is simple. Gore needs games, sharpness and more proof that he can handle senior football. The deal is not fully complete yet, but the signs are positive. A strong season at Luton could be important for Gore. It may also bring him closer to earning a real place in Carrick’s plans in the future.

Author’s Opinion

Dan Gore needs regular football more than a place on the bench right now. A loan to Luton could give him that chance. It is not a final answer about his United future, but it may be the right next step for his development.

The post Emiliano Martinez set for Chelsea medical after £7.5m deal appeared first on Player365News.

]]>
As per latest transfer news, Aston Villa goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez is set to join Chelsea. The Argentina international will undergo his medical in London soon. There were concerns over Robert Sanchez’s performances and hence the move happened, and it gives Xabi Alonso another experienced option in goal.

Chelsea agree Emiliano Martinez deal

Chelsea have reached an agreement with Aston Villa to sign Martinez for £7.5m. As reported by BBC Sport, The 33-year-old is to undergo a medical before his switch to the Blues. The deal will be a two-year contract with a third-year extension option. Martinez joins Chelsea’s goalkeeping group as Alonso weighs his options.

Robert Sanchez made two big errors in Chelsea’s 3-2 win over Fulham. The Spaniard was unable to stop Josh King’s shot and proceeded to make another mistake that helped Gonzalo Garcia score. Sanchez has been Chelsea’s main goalkeeper since joining in 2023. However, his recent mistakes raised questions over his place as Alonso’s first choice, and hence Martinez was chosen.

Chelsea also have Mike Penders, who joined from Genk for around £17 million. The 21-year-old is highly rated by the club. He spent last season on loan at Strasbourg. Martinez’s arrival could allow Penders to keep developing without facing too much pressure.

Martinez brings experience

The experience Martinez has gained over the years is one of the key factors that makes the change logical for Chelsea. Ever since he came to Villa from Arsenal back in 2020, he has played 257 matches and established himself as one of the key players at the club contributing to their Champions League qualification.

Martinez was also part of the team that won the Europa League. His experience in big games could help Chelsea as Alonso builds his squad. Martinez’s future at Villa had been unclear since his move to Juventus fell through earlier this month. Villa had already signed Zion Suzuki from Parma as their new No. 1, leaving Martinez without a clear role in the team.

Juventus eventually turned to Tottenham goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario instead. Martinez provides a short-term fix for Chelsea while Penders continues to develop. At 33, the Argentine can provide experience without blocking the younger goalkeeper’s long-term pathway.

Chelsea strengthen goalkeeping options

The move is another important decision for Chelsea as they prepare for a busy season of football. The goalkeeper position is another area of focus for the Blues after having already made multiple changes to their squad. If Alonso would want to replace Sanchez in goal, Martinez could prove to be a more dependable option. It further creates competition for the starting role for Chelsea, which should help improve the players’ performances in general.

Furthermore, the deal is another development in the ongoing business relationship between Chelsea and Villa. The clubs have had numerous transfers back and forth of players in the recent past, such as Morgan Rogers moving to Chelsea and Nicolas Jackson’s impending move the other way.

For Villa, selling Martinez allows them to move forward with Suzuki as their first-choice goalkeeper. For Chelsea, the signing provides an experienced goalkeeper who has performed at the highest level. Martinez will now look to complete his medical before officially joining Chelsea. His arrival could quickly become one of the more important moves of the window for a club aiming to compete at the top of the Premier League.

The post Marc Guiu could leave Chelsea as RB Leipzig make move appeared first on Player365News.

]]>
The brief and often frustrating spell of Marc Guiu in west London seems to be reaching its end. RB Leipzig have agreed terms with Chelsea for a permanent transfer, as per latest transfer news.

Leipzig move quickly to seal Marc Guiu deal

RB Leipzig have completed an agreement with Chelsea for Marc Guiu, as reported by ESPN. The move is now considered done on both sides. The Bundesliga club kept talks almost entirely private, catching many off guard given that Napoli had been strongly linked with the striker in recent weeks.

The base fee will land below €20m, though the Blues have secured a sell-on clause as part of the deal. This means they could benefit further if Guiu grows into a bigger star in Germany. The 20-year-old Spaniard is likely to travel to Leipzig shortly to complete his medical and put pen to paper on a new contract.

For Leipzig, the timing makes plenty of sense. Head coach Martin Demichelis has been searching for fresh attacking options. The club sold key names like Yan Diomande and Lois Openda over the summer. With striker options limited due to fitness concerns, Guiu arrives at a moment when he could quickly find game time. The German club have also brought back Christopher Nkunku.

A short but eventful stay in west London

Guiu’s Chelsea journey began with real promise back in July 2024. The Blues triggered his €6 million release clause to sign him away from Barcelona’s famous La Masia academy. He had barely fifteen minutes to prove himself in Barca’s first team, but Chelsea saw enough potential to hand him a long contract.

Since arriving in the Premier League, Guiu has played 29 games for the Blues and found the net 8 times. These moments showed flashes of real quality but never quite turned into regular starts. A loan spell at Sunderland last season was supposed to offer him regular football, but he made just three appearances there before being recalled early.

Across the entire 2025-26 season, the striker managed 3 goals and 2 assists in 16 competitive matches. These are the numbers that show how limited his opportunities truly were. Chelsea’s ongoing squad changes under Xabi Alonso made his exit very likely, especially once the manager left him out of matchday squads for matches against Fulham and Luton Town.

Chelsea’s summer transfer window so far

Chelsea have already sold or loaned out a long list of players this summer, including Nicolas Jackson, Trevoh Chalobah, Andrey Santos, and Marc Cucurella. The club continues trimming a squad that had grown far too large.

For Guiu, though, this move could be exactly what his career needs right now. Leipzig has built a strong name for developing young talent into genuine stars. That said, a new start away from the pressure of a title-chasing PL club may give him the regular minutes and confidence he has been missing.

Whether this becomes a smart piece of business for both clubs will depend heavily on how quickly Guiu adapts to the Bundesliga. But the early signs suggest Leipzig believe they are getting a player capable of far more than his recent numbers suggest.

Mamadou Sarr looks set to leave west London on loan. Real Sociedad want him for the season, and he flew to Spain for his medical on Thursday. The move away from Chelsea could be finalised within days, as per the latest transfer news.

Mamadou Sarr Medical Underway in Spain

The Blues defender is having his medical with Real Sociedad today. Paperwork should follow soon after. As reported by Standard Sport, the loan carries no option to buy, so Chelsea will decide again next summer. He turns 21 this weekend, and the timing matters for a player who still needs regular football. A fresh start in Spain could help him turn potential into regular performances.

Mamadou Sarr only returned from a loan at sister club Strasbourg midway through last season. He then made just three Premier League appearances in the second half of the campaign. The decision drew criticism at the time, but the club still rates him highly. Sociedad won the race for his signature ahead of other suitors.

A permanent deal from Strasbourg then followed last June, sealed with an eight-year contract. He built his early reputation in France before switching allegiance to Senegal. He has already won eight caps and started the Africa Cup of Nations final. A good loan spell could help him close the gap to first-team football.

Why the Loan Makes Sense for Mamadou Sarr

A move to San Sebastian makes sense on paper. Regular first-team opportunities have been hard to find under the current setup at Stamford Bridge. A new environment could give him the steady game time young players need. Sociedad’s coach reportedly pushed hard for the deal, and he believes the defender can grow inside a settled back line.

Loan spells have shaped much of his career so far. A settled run of matches usually helps a young centre-back more than odd minutes off the bench. That is why sending him out again makes more sense than leaving him on the fringes. It should also help his confidence heading into a big season with Senegal on the international stage.

Competition at the back has not helped his cause either. Senior centre-backs already sit ahead of him in the pecking order. With no European football this season, chances were always going to be limited. The loan looks less like a setback and more like a smart bridge toward a bigger role later.

Chelsea

Chelsea Continue Squad Rebuild

Chelsea continue to trim their squad before Tuesday’s deadline. The loan involving Mamadou Sarr is just one piece of a bigger clearout. Marc Guiu, also up for sale, has attracted interest from Napoli. Aston Villa could also land Nicolas Jackson this week, in a fresh deal worth close to £65m with add-ons.

A sale also looks likely for Tosin Adarabioyo, while both Dario Essugo and Mykhailo Mudryk could still leave on loan before the window shuts. A £45m switch to Nottingham Forest also looks close for Liam Delap, with a further £5m reportedly possible in add-ons.

Taken together, the moves show a club trimming numbers rather than rebuilding from scratch. For Mamadou Sarr, the loan is a chance to build momentum away from a crowded squad. A strong season in Spain could reshape his standing back in the Premier League. It would also give the club a much clearer answer on where he fits into their longer-term plans.

Julian Alvarez has missed Atletico Madrid training for a second day after being told the club will not negotiate with Barcelona. Arsenal now hope to take advantage of the situation and sign the Argentina striker, as per latest transfer news.

Arsenal see opening for Julian Alvarez

As reported by BBC Sport, Atletico have privately told Alvarez and his representatives that they will not discuss a move to Barcelona. The 26-year-old has missed 2 days of training since, with illness given as the reason for his absence.

Atletico have made their position clear. The board has said Alvarez will not join Barcelona. However, Atletico are open to talks with Arsenal. The two clubs have already spoken. Atletico director Mateu Alemany is also reported to have met Arsenal officials in London last week.

Atletico want around €150 million for Alvarez. Arsenal want to make a deal, but convincing the striker to move to England could be the main challenge. The Gunners are watching the situation closely. The deal could happen quickly if Alvarez agrees to speak with Arsenal.

Alvarez faces key decision

As reported by Goal.com, Arsenal believe the dispute between Atletico and Barcelona could give them a chance to change Alvarez’s mind. The striker is reportedly happy in Spain, where he has settled with his family. He also has no strong desire to return to England after previously playing for Manchester City.

Arsenal’s main argument is their sporting project. The club have recently won the Premier League title and reached the Champions League final. Mikel Arteta has built a team that plays attacking football and this may suit Alvarez. Arsenal think Alvarez may be more productive in a set-up that sees him spend more time closer to the opposition’s goal. At Atletico, he has often been asked to perform defensive duties and start attacks from deeper areas.

That could make Arsenal a strong option if Alvarez decides to leave Atletico. Money could also play a big part in the decision. Arsenal are reportedly ready to offer wages that would match those of some of Europe’s biggest stars.

Barcelona and Atletico remain at odds

Alvarez’s future is still unclear. The dispute between Barcelona and Atletico has made the situation even more difficult. Atletico believe Barcelona acted wrongly by contacting the player. Barcelona, however, say they have been clear about their interest.

Barcelona have reportedly offered €100 million, but Atletico have rejected the offer. Club president Joan Laporta still wants Alvarez, while Atletico remain firm on their decision not to sell him to Barcelona. This could give Arsenal a chance to sign the striker.

If Barcelona fail to reach an agreement, Alvarez may need to consider other options. Arsenal are ready to act if the striker opens the door to a move. The Gunners have the money to negotiate with Atletico, but Alvarez will make the final decision. With the transfer window closing on September 1, the next few days could be key. Arsenal could still complete one of the biggest deals of the summer if Alvarez decides to leave Atletico.

]]>
Eli Junior Kroupi has become one of England’s most talked-about young forwards this year. Arsenal are plotting a fresh approach for the Bournemouth attacker once the window reopens in January, as per the latest transfer news.

Arsenal Continue to Monitor Eli Junior Kroupi

Interest from the Gunners has not faded, despite a tough few months for the Bournemouth forward. As reported by CaughtOffside, Arsenal are among several top clubs keeping a close watch on Eli Junior Kroupi. He is still working his way back from a serious injury picked up in pre-season, and patience seems to be the current plan.

That flexibility is a big part of the appeal. The Frenchman can lead the line as an out-and-out number nine. He can also drop deeper, playing just behind a main striker. This suits how Mikel Arteta likes his attack to rotate. On top of that, the way he gets around defenders and reads tight spaces has stood out to several scouts this season.

There is also a gap opening up further forward. Question marks remain over Gabriel Jesus and his long-term fitness. Arsenal can already call on Viktor Gyokeres and Kai Havertz down the middle. Neither offers quite the same profile, though. So, a younger and more mobile forward could eventually fit in well alongside them.

Injury Setback Delays a Move for Eli Junior Kroupi

A summer transfer was never really on the cards. The 20-year-old picked up a nasty foot injury on Bournemouth’s pre-season trip and needed an operation soon after that. Reports suggest he will be out for around three to four months, which rules out any quick deal.

Still, that has not put the Gunners off completely. Arsenal could revisit the idea once he is fit again, most likely in the January window. After all, he arrived in the Premier League with plenty of promise. He scored 13 goals in his first full season. Few would be surprised if suitors simply stayed patient instead of walking away.

There is also a financial angle worth noting here. Eli Junior Kroupi is under contract at the Vitality Stadium until 2030. As a result, Bournemouth are under no pressure to sell at a discount just because of an injury. Spending big money on someone who can’t train properly would be a needless gamble at this stage.

Why the Gunners See Him as a Long-Term Option

Looking further down the road, this fits better as a patient addition than something forced through now. Eli Junior Kroupi brings something Arsenal lack among their younger attackers right now. That includes sharp instincts in the box, a quick burst off the mark, and a nose for goal that stood out all season long.

Gabriel Jesus’s situation adds another point worth considering here. His contract is edging closer to its end. So the club may soon need a long-term option to play alongside Viktor Gyokeres, or even replace him down the line. Good teams in football rarely suffer from having too much depth up front. A hungry young forward rarely hurts a squad like that either.

Arsenal

For now, though, there is no need to rush the process. Letting him fully recover, regain sharpness, and prove his fitness feels like the sensible route. If that goes to plan, the picture could shift quickly. The Bournemouth forward could re-emerge as one of Arteta’s top attacking targets once the new year rolls around.

]]>
David Raya has said that Arsenal have started the 2026-27 season with full of confidence, as per latest news. The Gunners have ended their league title drought after lifting the Premier League last season. The Arsenal goalkeeper believes his side will challenge to become back-to-back league champions. Moreover, the London side have found their opponents in the Champions League.

David Raya is confident that Arsenal could be unbeatable this season

As reported by ESPN, David Raya had an interview with the press association. The Spanish goalkeeper has conveyed his ambition to become regular champions in England and in Europe as well. Mikel Arteta’s side were trying to become English champions. After 22 years, in 2025-26 season Arsenal became Premier League winners.

Last season, the Gunners were brilliant throughout the season in England. This led them to lift their 14th first division title. However, they missed out on the Champions League glory on penalties to Paris Saint-Germain. That could have been their first UCL trophy in their history. They were one of the best European football teams last season. But after getting to taste his first league success, David Raya is confident that his side could challenge anybody this season.

The 30-year-old has said, “We want to become winners, not just a one-off. I think we’re going to have to attack the league again, attack the cups, attack the Champions League because we want more. We want all the trophies, and we are confident that we can beat anybody at any time, so we just have to be focused on ourselves and do better than last season.” At PFA awards ceremony, Raya, Jurrien Timber, Declan Rice and Gabriel Magalhaes were present as well. They all were named in the PFA Premier League team of the year.

The Arsenal keeper said, “The season was incredible, collectively and individually. I think we deserved to be there and be champions, so that was the most important thing. Every season is very, very long with ups and downs, but I think we dealt with everything that was thrown at us and it was an incredible season to lift the trophy, to give Arsenal the Premier League after 22 years, so, yeah, an amazing season.”

David Raya believes football is a team game

The Spanish international won the Premier League golden glove last season. Defensively, Arsenal performed very well. However, he said that each of the player in the squad has brilliant defensive awareness. He said, “I think we defensively, not just the defence but I think all the players from the striker to me, have a good defensive willingness in that way.”

Raya is excited at the arrival of Ezri Konsa who will strengthen their defense. When he was asked about his golden gloves winning run, he said, “It’s not just me. I’ve always said the same, it’s collective stuff. Obviously I’ve been part of it and it’s the third time consecutively, but we cannot stop there.”

Arsenal have kicked off the 2026-27 season

The Gunners have started the new season in a convincing way. They defeated Coventry City 3-0 in the very first match at Emirates. Arteta’s team will face Aston Villa in the Premier League at Villa Park.

In Champions League, Arsenal have some tough fixtures in the league phase. They will be facing Real Madrid, Dortmund, Lille and Sabah at home. Their away matches will be against Bayern Munich, Slavia Prague, Real Betis and Napoli.

Man United player Bruno Fernandes has won the Professional Footballers’ Association’s (PFA) men’s player of the year award. The Portuguese captain has achieved this accolade after giving statement performances this season, as per latest news. He created a new assist record in Premier League. There were several elite names nominated for the PFA player of the year award.

Bruno Fernandes is PFA Player of the Year

As reported by BBC, Bruno Fernandes has become the Professional Footballers’ Association’s player of the year for the 2025-26 season. The Man United captain has won this award for the first time in his career. Bruno Fernandes had a marvelous season recording a record-breaking 21 assists in this 2025-26 campaign. Fernandes has beaten the likes of Declan Rice and Erling Haaland to win this prestigious award.

The most interesting fact is that the 31-year-old received votes from other professional football players in England as well. When Bruno Fernandes was asked about his feeling after winning the prize, he said, “It is obviously a very proud moment. They are the ones you go on the pitch against and it’s probably not easy to vote for someone you play against, so it is a very good moment.” He also said that he voted for Arsenal midfielder Declan Rice. The Englishman was also seen to clap while Fernandes went to collect his prize. This shows the mutual respect they have for each other.

Moreover, he also scored 9 goals which helped him to have 200 goal contributions for the Red Devils in February. This was his best season after signing for the Manchester side from Sporting CP in 2020. At the end of the last season, he won the Premier League’s player of the year award.

Manchester United has a good reputation at the PFA award ceremony

This year, not only did Bruno Fernandes place his name on the PFA awards list from Man United. The Red Devils’ women’s team star, Jess Park saw her name in the PFA women’s team of the year. Both the male and female team have made their mark at the award ceremony. Fernandes was also part of the PFA men’s team of the year.

If we take a look in the history, Man United have been quite successful in PFA award ceremonies. Mark Hughes, Gary Pallister, Eric Cantona, Roy Keane, Teddy Sheringham, Ruud Van Nistelrooy and Ryan Giggs have been named as PFA men’s player of the year. Bruno Fernandes’ fellow Portuguese teammate in national team, Cristiano Ronaldo and United legend Wayne Rooney have also collected this award.

How did this year’s PFA awards ceremony go?

Although Fernandes was the main attraction of the event, other players also collected their respective awards. Nico O’Reilly has become the the PFA men’s young player of the year. The Man City youngster has been phenomenal last season under ex-City boss Pep Guardiola. He scored a brace in the EFL Cup final against Arsenal.

The PFA men’s Premier League team of the year includes David Raya, Jurrien Timber, Gabriel Magalhaes, William Saliba, Nico O’Reilly, Declan Rice, Bruno Fernandes, Rayan Cherki, Antoine Semenyo, Erling Haaland and Igor Thiago. Middlesbrough’s Hayden Hackney became EFL Championship player of the year. Leyton Orient’s Dom Ballard is League One player of the year while Swindon Town’s Aaron Drinan is League Two’s player of the year.

Reiss Nelson leaves Arsenal as both the player and the club have agreed to tear up his contract early, as per latest transfer news. This closes a chapter that started when he was just a boy chasing a first-team dream at Hale End.

End Of An 18-Year Arsenal Journey For Reiss Nelson

Arsenal announced that Reiss Nelson and the club had mutually agreed to end his deal with immediate effect. This allows him to walk away as a free agent. The winger joined the academy as a kid and slowly worked his way up through the youth ranks before signing his first professional deal in December 2016.

Over those 18 years, he built a deep connection with the club, one that many fans feel deserved a better send-off. In total, Nelson made 90 appearances for the Gunners first team, scoring 8 goals and setting up 9 more for his teammates. He also picked up an FA Cup medal in 2020 and helped the Gunners lift the Community Shield twice, first in 2017 and again in 2020.

The north London side thanked him for his years of service and wished him well for what comes next. He was a player who once looked destined to regular football at the Emirates. But, the exit feels bittersweet rather than triumphant. It leaves fans wondering whether the club could have handled his path differently.

Nelson’s all-time Arsenal stats, as per FOTMOB:

Nelson’s Career Of Flashes & Few Long Runs

The winger’s Arsenal career will be remembered for moments of brilliance rather than consistency. He never truly cemented a starting spot, and injuries often disrupted his rhythm at the worst possible times. His best individual spell came during a loan at Hoffenheim in 2018-19, where he scored seven goals in the Bundesliga that season. That was a return that first showed just how sharp his finishing could be.

He later spent time on loan with Feyenoord in the Netherlands during 2021-22. Then he moved to Fulham for the 2024-25 season, before spending last season with Brentford. At one stage, Arsenal wanted around £20 million for the winger, including add-ons, when several clubs showed interest in signing him permanently. That move never went through and the club eventually chose to let him leave for nothing once his contract neared its final months.

Arsenal

Reiss Nelson’s next stop after Arsenal

Now a free agent, Nelson holds the power to choose his next club without a transfer fee getting in the way. He has already been strongly linked with a move to West Ham. With his current market value sitting close to €8m according to Transfermarkt figures, several Premier League clubs could see him as smart business.

For the north London club, this exit marks the end of an era for one of Hale End’s most talked about graduates. This comes even if his senior career never fully matched the early hype. The Gunners’ head coach Mikel Arteta and his squad continues to lean on academy talents like Bukayo Saka and Myles Lewis-Skelly. That said, Nelson’s exit quietly reminds everyone how hard it is to break through at a club chasing big trophies every season.

]]>
Omari Kellyman has signed permanently with Ligue 1 side Strasbourg, ending his short stay at Chelsea, as per the latest transfer news. The young forward has signed a five-year deal after a strong loan spell in England’s third tier last season.

Omari Kellyman Completes Permanent Move to Strasbourg

The Blues confirmed the move this week, bringing a short spell at Stamford Bridge to a close. As reported by Chelsea’s official website, an injury sidelined him early on, though he still earned a Premier League 2 debut in August 2024 after his move from Aston Villa.

Cardiff City gave him regular game time last season. On loan there, he scored 11 goals in 36 games and helped push the Bluebirds up to the Championship, a run for which fans in Cardiff still fondly remember Omari Kellyman. That form caught Strasbourg’s eye, and the Ligue 1 club have paid around €6m for him, while Chelsea have also kept a buy-back option in place.

He also took part twice in the club’s warm-up tour of Australia and Asia, though regular football always looked unlikely for him there since too many players competed for his position. A move to a sister club should suit him well, because it is a familiar environment rather than a completely new one.

Why Chelsea Approved the Deal

This transfer fits a wider pattern, since Chelsea and Strasbourg share the same owner, BlueCo, and have swapped players often since 2023. He is one of several players to move this summer, alongside goalkeeper Filip Jorgensen and defender Genesis Antwi, who also joined Strasbourg on loan.

Business has moved the other way too, with Chelsea signing Valentin Barco from Strasbourg this summer. Striker Emanuel Emegha joined in the same deal, worth close to $75 million combined, while three players who were on loan at the French club, including goalkeeper Mike Penders, have already come back to Stamford Bridge.

Strasbourg also faced financial trouble with UEFA, having picked up a €13 million fine in June for overspending. A low fee paired with a buy-back clause suits both sides well. For Chelsea, it earns some money back on a player who never made the first team, while for Omari Kellyman, it offers a genuine chance to play regular football in Ligue 1.

What Comes Next for Omari Kellyman in Ligue 1

Strasbourg have not started the season well, sitting at the bottom of Ligue 1 after losing to Marseille, a game in which they managed just five shots. The team clearly needs a sharp runner who can find the net, and Omari Kellyman fits that role well, given how much he likes to run in behind and shoot from close range.

His numbers from Cardiff back this up, since he made 36 successful dribbles and won 30 aerial duels last season, figures that point to real strength alongside genuine skill on the ball. Coach Hugo Oliveira has also spoken about wanting more threat up front, and this signing should help address that need directly.

The buy-back clause means this may not be the end of his Chelsea spell. If Omari Kellyman keeps scoring at this rate, a return to the Premier League one day would not be a surprise. For now, though, his focus stays on proving himself in French football, and the next few months in Ligue 1 should reveal just how far he can go.

]]>
Ferdi Kadioglu is at the centre of a fresh transfer twist this week. A fresh report claims a £40million move is edging closer, though no club has confirmed anything yet. Man United are said to want him at left-back, as per the latest transfer news.

Ferdi Kadioglu Emerges as Man Utd Transfer Target

As reported by TEAMtalk, Ferdi Kadioglu could follow Carlos Baleba out of the Amex this summer. The Red Devils have agreed a £40million fee, and Fenerbahce receive a 10 per cent sell-on cut. Baleba himself is closing in on a switch worth up to £70million. Brighton, however, are well accustomed to losing prized assets once a substantial offer arrives.

Liverpool are also weighing a fresh Minteh bid worth close to £70million. Even so, the plan for Ferdi Kadioglu looks different, since Brighton appear to have a replacement lined up already. That detail gives the Turkish claim considerably more weight than most transfer talk.

Brighton have also agreed a deal for Young Boys full-back Jaouen Hadjam, who could arrive within days. Signing cover before selling a starter is a pattern this squad follows often, showing careful planning rather than a late reaction. So, the timing fits neatly with talk of a move for the Turkey star this summer.

Man Utd Left-Back Search Faces Doubts

Not everyone agrees the move is close. Turkish-Football has pushed back on the bigger claims, insisting no formal deal exists yet. Sources instead point to enquiries from both Man Utd and Fenerbahce so far. The idea of a swift deal, in their view, looks premature.

Meanwhile, competition for the left-back spot remains strong. The Magpies still won’t sell Lewis Hall, despite him remaining United’s top choice. United have also reached out to Alejandro Balde’s camp, but the Barcelona man would rather stay put for now. Reporter Fabrizio Romano thinks Balde’s choice could slow any deal further.

As a result, other names continue to surface. Reports also point to Racing Santander’s Jorge Salinas and RB Leipzig’s David Raum as cheaper alternatives. Salinas has an exit fee near £14 million, which makes him a sensible backup option. Nothing looks resolved yet, and the picture could shift again before deadline day.

Manchester United - Man Utd

What a Ferdi Kadioglu Deal Could Mean for Man Utd

On the pitch, the appeal makes sense. Ferdi Kadioglu has been one of the best full-backs in the Premier League since his 2024 move to Brighton. His form has also caught attention across English football. His work rate stood out last season, covering more ground than nearly every teammate. Euro 2024 boosted his reputation too, with scouts praising his energy and composure under pressure.

He also offers range, since he can play on either side of defence and push forward when needed. That fits Michael Carrick’s plans well, as his side have shown gaps at the back this season. A spot alongside or ahead of Luke Shaw looks likely if the move goes through. Patrick Dorgu’s shift into a wider role this year only adds to the case for it.

For now, nothing is certain. Until a club confirms it, this stays speculation built on mixed reports from Turkey and England. Transfer windows often move quickly in the final days. Regardless, fans will have to wait and see how the next few days unfold. Deadline day should bring more clarity than the rumours have so far.

The post Joshua Zirkzee faces Man Utd exit as Fiorentina make move appeared first on Player365News.

]]>
Fiorentina have opened talks with Manchester United over a loan move for striker Joshua Zirkzee. The news comes as Man United continue shaping their squad through this summer’s transfer window.

Fiorentina push for Zirkzee loan deal

As reported by BBC, discussions between Man Utd and Fiorentina are centered on a season long loan deal. There is also an option that could turn the move permanent in next summer’s transfer window. Nothing has been signed so far, though those involved describe the mood as positive. Zirkzee is said to be open to a return to Serie A, the league where he first made his name.

The financial details still need work, since Man United want clear terms on the loan fee and a future sell-on clause. Fiorentina, meanwhile, are trying to keep their initial costs low and watch their spending closely elsewhere too. The two sides remain closer than many people think. That kind of caution feels normal this close to deadline day, especially with three contract years still remaining.

Zirkzee’s stats in the 2025-26 season at Man United, as per FOTMOB:

CompetitionsMatchesGoalsAssists
Premier League2421
FA Cup100
EFL Cup100

Why United are willing to let Joshua Zirkzee go

Zirkzee joined Old Trafford for £36.5m in 2024, fresh off winning Serie A’s Under 23 award. He scored on his debut in a narrow win over Fulham and looked like a smart long-term signing. Since that bright start, life in English football has proven far tougher than most people expected.

Across two seasons he has made just 27 starts from 75 total appearances. That return falls well short of what a top-of-the-table club needs from its main forward. His scoring record shows a similar pattern, with only nine goals across all competitions in that stretch. Just five of those appearances last season came as a Premier League starter. That is a low return for a forward who was signed to lead the line.

From a tactical view, Zirkzee often looks more comfortable dropping deep to help build attacks than staying inside the box. That style suited Bologna’s slower build-up system well when he played in Serie A. It has clashed, though, with United’s need for a striker who attacks crosses and through balls with real urgency. United’s system under recent managers has often relied on quick transitions and forwards running in behind defenders. Coaches have tried shifting his role more than once, but the fit has never quite settled.

Manchester United - Man Utd

What a move to Florence would mean

For Fiorentina, signing Joshua Zirkzee would give their squad much-needed depth and firepower up front. The club has spent recent transfer windows trying to strengthen that exact position in attack. A player with his pedigree in Italian football fits neatly into that long-term plan. His comfort with Serie A’s tactical rhythm could help him find the sharpness he once showed.

Supporters and pundits who follow Serie A believe Zirkzee’s passing under pressure is exactly what Fiorentina have missed this term. That view lines up with his general body of work, even during two difficult years in England. His touch and movement in tight areas rarely disappeared, only his end product dropped away. The talent has not gone away, only the confidence that once came so naturally.

If the loan goes through before deadline day, both clubs stand to gain from the deal. United would get financial relief and room to reset their attacking options for the season ahead. Fiorentina, in turn, would gain a proven goal-scorer who still has time to reach his best level.

As reported by BBC Sport, Aston Villa have reached a broad agreement with Chelsea over a deal for Jackson. The transfer could be worth £65m, with Villa expected to pay around £50m up front and a further £15m in add-ons. The deal still depends on Jackson agreeing personal terms and completing his move to Villa Park. However, the Senegal international is expected to reunite with Unai Emery as talks are at an advanced stage.

Jackson already knows Emery from their time together at Villarreal. That relationship could help the striker settle quickly if he completes the move. Chelsea signed Jackson from Villarreal for around £35m in 2023. In total, he registered 30 goals in 81 appearances for the Blues before spending last season on loan at Bayern Munich. Chelsea paid a £14.3m loan fee but Bayern did not activate the £56.2m buy option. Jackson’s arrival would give Villa the replacement they need before allowing Watkins to leave.

Jackson arrival could trigger Watkins exit

Watkins is expected to leave Villa once Jackson completes his move. The England international is close to joining Saudi Pro League side Al-Hilal in a deal worth around £51m. Since arriving from Brentford in 2020, the 30-year-old has been one of Villa’s most vital players. He is the club’s leading scorer in the Premier League with 91 goals in the competition. Villa were already planning to offload Watkins but wanted a replacement. The striker missed Sunday’s 4-0 defeat at Brighton and Emery said it would be down to Watkins and his agent to explain Watkins’ absence.

Jackson would provide a solution to Villa’s attacking problems and give Emery another option in the final third. His experience in English football should also help him adjust to the demands of the league. Villa are also prepared to send Tammy Abraham to Ipswich Town on loan. The 28-year-old is reportedly happy at Villa but is ready to move to Portman Road for the season. The proposed deal is not expected to include an option or obligation to buy.

Villa continue major squad rebuild

Jackson’s potential arrival would be another major change during Villa’s busy summer. The club have already signed Joao Gomes, Johan Manzambi, Matteo Ruggeri and Zion Suzuki as Emery continues to reshape his squad. However, several key players have also left.

Youri Tielemans, Morgan Rogers, Ezri Konsa and Lucas Digne have already left. If Watkins was to leave it would mean five of the starting XI who won the Europa League back in May were now gone. Goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez could also follow them out of Villa Park. Chelsea are reportedly interested in the Argentina international after deciding that he could leave following Suzuki’s arrival.

For Villa, signing Jackson would therefore be an important part of their squad rebuild. The striker has already shown he can score goals at a high level and knows Emery’s methods having worked under him at Villarreal. Chelsea would get another big fee for the transfer and be able to move on from a player that spent much of the previous season away from Stamford Bridge. Jackson’s possible move is now one of the big deals ahead of the transfer window closing, with Watkins’ future dependent on Villa bringing the striker in.

The post Finn Jeltsch: Man Utd set to rival Bayern for Stuttgart star appeared first on Player365News.

]]>
As per the latest transfer news, Man United have been linked with Stuttgart defender Finn Jeltsch. The 20-year-old is rated as one of the best young centre-backs in German football. United face strong interest from several other big clubs for his signing.

Scouting interest grows in Jeltsch

United have received positive scouting reports on Jeltsch in recent weeks. As reported by CaughtOffside, club chiefs are now weighing up an official move for Stuttgart’s young star. Liverpool, Arsenal and Juventus are also said to be watching his form closely this season. All three see him as a smart addition at the back.

Bayern Munich, though, appear to hold the strongest hand in the race so far. They are believed to see Jeltsch as an ideal pick for their own back line. Bayern would rather keep such a bright talent inside the Bundesliga than lose him abroad. That local pull alone could make life much harder for Man United later this year.

Finn Jeltsch’s stats for the 2025-26 season at Stuttgart, as per FOTMOB:

Stuttgart hold a strong contract position over Jeltsch

Jeltsch is tied to Stuttgart under a deal that runs until June 2030. He joined the club from Nurnberg back in February 2025 on a permanent move. Stuttgart called him one of the best young players in his role at the time of signing.

As reported by AFP, Finn Jeltsch has said he feels happy and settled at Stuttgart, and that the club offers him an ideal setup for his growth. He is also excited about playing regular Champions League football there this season. That mindset could make an early transfer move hard to pull off. Manchester United may simply need patience rather than rushing into a quick offer this summer.

Why Finn Jeltsch fits Man United’s rebuild plans

Jeltsch fits the profile United want at the back right now. He looks calm on the ball and passes through tight lines with real ease. That kind of skill suits a team trying to build attacks from deep positions. It is a trait that many top sides across the Premier League now value highly.

Defenders today are asked to do far more than simply stop attacks. They must also help start moves and set the pace of a match. Jeltsch shows strong signs of this skill. His reading of the game and range of passing stand out even against older defenders in the Bundesliga. Few centre-backs his age combine both sides of the job this well.

A deal would likely cost Man United close to €50 million. That is a big fee for a player still only twenty years old. Winning him over may depend on the project on offer rather than wages alone. Bayern and other rivals can already match Man United on money and European football. United will need a clear pitch built around game time and trust.

Staying firmly in this race still makes sense for United right now. Top young defenders rarely get cheaper once they prove themselves at a big club. Finn Jeltsch is closing in on that level fast after his rise in Germany. His next move will say a lot about how far he trusts his own timeline at Stuttgart.

Cody Gakpo has become a shock target for Manchester City this summer. The Dutch forward remains under contract at Liverpool, as per the latest transfer news. City are looking at fresh options up front, and time is running short before the transfer window closes.

Cody Gakpo Draws Interest From Manchester City

As reported by Sky Sports, Manchester City want to sign Cody Gakpo from Liverpool. The Reds forward has become one of the biggest names in the final days of the window. Yet no formal talks have taken place between the two clubs so far. It marks a bold and surprising approach from Enzo Maresca’s side this late in the window.

City have not yet spoken to Liverpool about the player directly. Scouts are still watching several attacking options before the deadline. Meanwhile, Tottenham have also been tracking the same forward for weeks now. Both clubs are fierce rivals, which makes this transfer link even more interesting. That rivalry adds another layer of intrigue to the deal.

Part of the reason is simple, as the club’s forward line is getting thin. Savinho has already joined Tottenham in an £85 million deal, and Omar Marmoush could follow soon after. So City need fresh legs in attack, and a flexible attacker fits that gap well. Maresca is also keen to add more depth before the window shuts.

Liverpool Stay Firm On Cody Gakpo

For now, the club has no plans to sell, as his deal runs through 2030. There is no money pressure forcing a quick sale, and therefore Liverpool are holding firm, at least in public. The situation remains fluid with the deadline fast approaching.

Cody Gakpo has also been in good form. He scored as Liverpool’s Premier League campaign opened at Newcastle with a 2-2 draw. That kind of form makes him harder to let go. Football often comes down to timing, and right now the timing does not favour a sale. His versatility across the front line adds further weight to that argument.

There is one condition, though. Liverpool need fresh width before any exit moves, and so talks for PSG’s Bradley Barcola are still going on. A couple of bids for Brighton’s Yankuba Minteh have already been turned down. Both deals would take time to complete properly. Until cover arrives, this deal looks unlikely to move fast.

Liverpool FC

What Comes Next In This Transfer Saga

Tottenham are still very much in the race too. They reportedly agreed personal terms with Gakpo earlier in the summer. Their first offer, though, fell short of what Liverpool wanted. A new and better bid is said to be coming soon. Spurs see him as a genuine upgrade option.

City have already been busy elsewhere this week. They have struck a deal worth up to £34m for Palmeiras winger Allan. He is set to cover for Savinho’s exit to Tottenham, and that shows there is still room for one more late move. It also frees up funds for other business before deadline day.

Given the rivalry between these two Premier League clubs, a smooth deal seems unlikely. The last big transfer between them was Raheem Sterling’s move to City, almost a decade ago now. Still, transfer windows rarely go to plan. This story looks set to run until deadline day. Supporters on both sides will be watching closely as the deadline nears. Either way, both clubs clearly rate Cody Gakpo highly.

Eduardo Camavinga has emerged as a fresh target for Chelsea. Xabi Alonso is now reshaping his midfield plans in the final week of the window. This shift from Chelsea comes after a bid for another player was turned down, as per the latest transfer news.

Eduardo Camavinga Enters Chelsea Wishlist

Eduardo Camavinga has moved onto the radar of the Blues. Xabi Alonso wants new options in midfield. First, Chelsea zeroed in on Bournemouth’s Alex Scott. But three bids for him fell short. As reported by Metro, the highest offer touched £68 million. Even so, the south coast club held firm. They refused to sell before deadline day.

Eduardo Camavinga is not the only name on the list. Crystal Palace’s Adam Wharton and Roma’s Manu Kone have also been mentioned as options. That reflects how wide the search has become. Each player brings something different to the table. Chelsea want depth and quality in every area. All three would add real depth to a squad already shaped by heavy summer spending.

This move appears to be a back-up plan for now. Chelsea have no desire to part with Enzo Fernandez. But they are quietly planning just in case he leaves late in the window. That is where the France international’s name comes in.

Scott Pursuit Hits a Wall

Fernandez currently carries a £120 million valuation, a figure Chelsea have made clear to any interested club. That number alone makes an exit hard before deadline day. Even so, admirers have not given up their chase just yet.

Enzo Fernandez was the player Chelsea hoped to keep all along. But his future refuses to settle down. He made clear early in the summer that he wanted to leave. A dream move to Real Madrid then fell through. Now Manchester City have joined the race too, under his old boss Enzo Maresca. Both clubs are working against the clock.

Chelsea

City have already completed a big deal elsewhere. They paid £86 million to sign Ayyoub Bouaddi from Lille. Still, that has not cooled their interest in Fernandez. Losing Rodri to Barcelona has left Maresca short of steel in the middle of the park. That competition could drive the price even higher. Several Premier League clubs have also shown interest in Scott after his strong season at Bournemouth.

Eduardo Camavinga and the Midfield Puzzle

Focus then shifted toward Madrid. Alonso wants a player who is sharp on the ball. He also needs someone strong and tough. The French international fits that picture well. He has been linked with a Bernabeu exit since Jose Mourinho took charge. Still, nothing has been agreed. Talks could still change quickly before the deadline.

Manchester United once tracked the France international too. In the end, they turned to Carlos Baleba instead. That shows how much competition there is for this kind of player in modern football today. Whether the chase goes further may depend on how the Fernandez situation plays out in the coming days.

On the pitch, life under Alonso has started well for the Blues. Chelsea edged a five-goal thriller against Fulham on Monday night in the Premier League. Goals came from Joao Pedro, Morgan Rogers and Cole Palmer. Fernandez even came off the bench that day. For now, the future of Eduardo Camavinga will likely stay a quiet story. Fans will be watching closely as the window edges toward its final days.

The post Kenan Yildiz: Arsenal eye shock swap deal with Juventus appeared first on Player365News.

]]>
Arsenal are all set to apply for the transfer deal of Kenan Yildiz. Although the Turkish player signed a new long term contract with Juventus last year, the Gunners haven’t given up yet. Yildiz has been on their wishlist for a long time.

Yildiz to join the Gunners this summer?

The Gunners aim to secure Yildiz’s transfer as soon as possible, as reported by TEAMtalk. They have recently made contact with Yildiz’s camp ahead of the next season. If everything goes as per plan, Arsenal may offer a player in exchange to the Italian club, although the name hasn’t been revealed yet.

Yildiz has been part of Juventus since 2022. Before that, he was part of Bayern Munich’s youth academy. The Turkish winger played for the team between 2012 and 2022. In 2022, he joined Juventus, and was soon promoted to the senior team a year later.

Yildiz’s stats for the 2025-26 season at Juventus, as per FOTMOB:

Will Yildiz be a good fit at Arsenal?

Yildiz is a technically gifted attacking midfielder. His quick feet allow him to make attacks from difficult positions. This is why the Gunners are aiming for his transfer. They had previously applied for similar players Vinicius Jr. and Yan Diomande ahead of this summer. However, things did not go according to the plan.

Despite that, Arsenal continue to be hopeful. They’re the current Premier League champions, and want to maintain the winning momentum. Team manager Mikel Arteta wants to retain the title next season. It’s been three years since any team managed to retain the Premier League title, and Arteta knows that he cannot afford to miss this golden opportunity. If Yildiz joins Arsenal this summer, he will strengthen the team’s midfield.

Arsenal transfer news - Kenan Yildiz

What’s next for Kenan Yildiz?

Yildiz is currently preparing for the next season. He is also focusing on improving his fitness. The Turkish winger suffered multiple injuries last year. This included a calf injury in May 2026, which ruled him out of Juventus’ final league match against Torino. However, he recovered in time for the FIFA World Cup. Turkey had qualified for the World Cup after more than 24 years. However, they couldn’t proceed beyond the group stage, losing to both Australia and Paraguay. They only won the final group match against hosts USA as a consolation.

If Yildiz wants to create a big impact in club football, he needs to improve on his fitness concerns. He has a clean record in terms of disciplinary issues, and hopes to make the world take notice of his skills next summer. Meanwhile Arsenal are aggressively signing one player after another for the next season. Some of them include Bruno Guimaraes, Piero Hincapie, Christos Tzolis, and Ezri Konsa among others. Even players like James Scanlon are on the Gunners’ wishlist. Team manager Mikel Arteta wants a stronger side for the next season, and he will leave no stone unturned to achieve it.

As for Kenan Yildiz, it will be interesting to see which club he eventually chooses for the next season. If he decides to stay with Juventus, Arsenal will be forced to look for other options. However, if he is interested to join the North London club, nothing can stop Arsenal from signing the player ahead of the next season.

Enzo Fernandez might be still open for a transfer. Chelsea’s new coach Xabi Alonso has refused to confirm if the Argentinian midfielder will stay with the club. Fernandez had expressed his desire to move out this summer.

Alonso offers no guarantee for Fernandez’s future

There is no clarity on Fernandez’s transfer from Chelsea, as per recent news. Team manager Alonso was asked about Fernandez’s future with the Blues, as reported by TheGuardian. He refused to confirm that the Blues will try to retain Fernandez if Manchester City make a move. However, he praised Fernandez’s potential, and hoped that he will do well in an upcoming match against Fulham.

Fernandez has been part of the Blues for a long time. He joined the club in 2023. Before that, he played for Benfica between 2022 and 2023. Previously, he played for River Plate between 2019 and 2022. In between, he also played for Defensa y Justicia under a loan spell.

Will Fernandez move out of Chelsea?

Fernandez has already talked about his plans of moving out from Chelsea. However, a formal deal has not been finalized yet. Manchester City are leading the race to secure his transfer for now. Previously, Fernandez was linked with Real Madrid as well. However, Los Blancos later put the rumors to rest.

Fernandez didn’t perform up to the expectations in the 2025-26 season, especially in the Premier League. That is why the Blues are looking out for other options. Players like Alex Scott and Adam Wharton are already on their wish list. It will be a miracle if Fernandez retains his place next year.

Chelsea transfer news - Enzo Fernandez

What’s next for Enzo Fernandez?

Fernandez is currently preparing for the match against Fulham. After that, he will wait for the offer given by Manchester City. If the Blues turn it down, he will remain with the club for another season. However, Manchester City continue to be aggressive about their pursuit. If everything goes as per plan, the Argentinian can join the Etihad Stadium within a few months. Except for a persistent knee issue, Fernandez didn’t have many health problems last year. However, he received 10 yellow cards during the 2025-26 Premier League. He needs to improve his attitude next season if he wants to become a big name in club football.

Apart from that, Fernandez has a great record in international football. He was part of the World Cup winning team from Argentina in the 2022 edition. Fernandez also represented the team in the 2026 edition. Argentina made it to the final stage for the second time since the 2022 edition. However, Spain surprised them by 1-0. Ferran Torres scored the golden goal in the 106th minute to give Spain their first World Cup title after 16 years. They last won the World Cup in the 2010 edition, when they defeated Netherlands 1-0.

It remains to be seen if Fernandez decides to remain with Chelsea or continues to look for other options. Although chances are unlikely, the Blues might retain him for the 2026-27 season. However, if he decides to move out, Manchester City is not a bad choice either. It remains to be seen which club does he eventually choose for the next season.

]]>
Chelsea’s Alex Scott transfer chase has taken another turn. The Blues have made a major push for the Bournemouth midfielder, but the Cherries are refusing to move. The latest news suggest that the setback could force Chelsea to look elsewhere.

Chelsea make three bids for Alex Scott

Chelsea have been keen on Alex Scott for some time. The England midfielder has become one of Bournemouth’s key players. His form has also made him a target for several top clubs. As reported by The I Paper, Chelsea have made three bids for the 23-year-old this summer. The offers reportedly ranged from £62M to £68M. However, all three bids were rejected. The latest offer was worth £68M. That was still not enough to change Bournemouth’s mind.

Bournemouth have made it clear that Scott is not for sale before the transfer deadline. This is a strong message to the London side, which now has a difficult choice to make. Scott has also rejected new contract offers from Bournemouth. That could have given Chelsea hope that a deal might be possible. Yet, the club have not changed their stance.

Why Chelsea want Alex Scott

The Blues are looking at Scott because of the uncertainty around Enzo Fernandez. Manchester City are interested in the Argentine midfielder. Chelsea do not want to lose a key player without having a replacement ready. Scott has therefore become one of the names being considered. Chelsea see Scott as one of their main midfield options. The club have been working on possible replacements in case Fernandez leaves Stamford Bridge.

Bournemouth are now refusing to even place a value on Scott because their position is simple: he is not for sale. That means another big bid may not be enough. The midfielder has also attracted interest from other Premier League sides. For Chelsea, though, the situation is now about more than simply paying a bigger fee. They must decide how far they are willing to go for a player whose current club does not want to sell.

Chelsea

Real Madrid option emerges

Chelsea may now need another plan. The Blues have looked towards Real Madrid after their latest Scott setback. Eduardo Camavinga has emerged as another possible midfield option as Chelsea prepare for different outcomes around Fernandez. The move for Camavinga would be a very different deal. The French football player already has experience at the highest level. He has also played in some of the biggest games in Europe. Still, Scott remains an important name on Chelsea’s list.

Bournemouth have told Chelsea that another approach is unlikely to change their position. Bournemouth also have no plans to allow Scott to leave before the window closes. That leaves the Blues with limited clear choices. They can either make another huge offer or move on to another target. In addition, they can keep Fernandez and end the search as well. With the transfer window closing soon, time is becoming a major factor.

Author’s Opinion

Chelsea clearly rate Alex Scott, but three rejected bids show how difficult this deal has become. Paying even more may not solve the problem. If Bournemouth will not sell, the Blues may be better off protecting their plans and finding another option.

Chelsea are weighing up a move for Emiliano Martinez, with the latest transfer news linking the west London club to Aston Villa’s goalkeeper. Talks with his agents reportedly began this week.

Emiliano Martinez available after Suzuki signing

Martinez has become free to leave this summer, as reported by BBC. Villa recently signed Japan star Zion Suzuki from Parma for close to £30m earlier this month. That deal has pushed the 33-year-old Argentine down the order at Villa Park.

The two clubs already have close ties in the transfer market this year. Chelsea also completed a club-record £117m deal for Morgan Rogers from Villa in that same window. Alejandro Garnacho then moved to Villa Park on an initial loan deal with a conditional obligation to buy. Striker Nicolas Jackson, valued at around £65m, could also head to Villa this summer. That move would reunite him with old boss Unai Emery, who now leads the Villa project.

Back in 2024, the sides struck a deal many in football described as a PSR swap. Defender Ian Maatsen joined Villa, while Omari Kellyman, now at Strasbourg, moved on to Chelsea. Interest from Juventus in Emiliano Martinez fell apart earlier this window over worries about a finger injury. The Italian side turned instead to Tottenham keeper Guglielmo Vicario, signing him on loan.

Sanchez’s form puts Chelsea’s keeper plans in focus

Robert Sanchez stays as Chelsea’s main keeper, though his recent form has raised real doubts among fans. In the opening Premier League game against Fulham, Sanchez was beaten at his near post by a low shot from Josh King. He then let a second shot slip into a bad area of the box near goal. Chelsea still won that game 3-2 away at Craven Cottage, despite those costly slips from Sanchez. Two errors in one half are the kind of stat that follows a keeper into every headline for weeks.

Tactically, a shaky keeper hurts the calm build-up play that Xabi Alonso wants from his back line. Martinez brings calm, strong kicking, and a proven name at the top level of football. Those traits could settle Chelsea’s back line during what looks like a hard season ahead.

Chelsea

Alonso reacts to questions over Sanchez and Penders

Speaking before the Carabao Cup tie against Luton Town, Alonso played down talk of any rift with his keeper. As reported by The Athletic, he said his chats with Sanchez had focused mainly on the team, not on his individual errors. “It was more about understanding the context,” Alonso said, adding that Chelsea are still growing as a group this term.

Mike Penders, who came back from a strong loan spell at Strasbourg, gives Alonso a second choice in goal. Alonso said Penders is still very much part of his plans and could get his chance soon. “He’s in the squad, so he has an opportunity,” Alonso said, though he did not confirm his lineup just yet. He said he wants his players to hear the team news first, straight from him.

Whether Chelsea move for Martinez remains to be seen. For now, the keeper spot remains one of the more unsettled areas in Alonso’s squad. A decision on his goalkeeping options is likely to come before the transfer window shuts.

Arsenal make enquiry for Igor Paixao

As reported by TEAMtalk, Arsenal have asked Marseille about Paixao as they look for options in attack. The reigning Premier League champions are preparing for Martinelli’s expected move to Al-Hilal, and have been looking for another winger throughout the summer.

Arsenal have already missed out on many targets, like Morgan Rogers, Vinicius Junior and Anthony Gordon. However, they did strengthen their attack by signing Christos Tzolis from Club Brugge. Igor Paixao has now emerged as another option. Paixao’s ability to play on either wing could make him a useful option for Arsenal. His pace and attacking movement would give the Gunners more variety in the final third, while his experience in European football could help him adapt quickly.

The Brazilian joined Marseille from Feyenoord last summer after also attracting interest from Leeds United. He had a strong first season in France. His form has now caught the eye of several clubs, but Marseille are not looking to sell at this stage.

Sunderland make two bids for Paixao

Premier League clubs other than Arsenal are also interested in the 26-year-old. Aston Villa have made enquiries, while Sunderland have taken their interest further by submitting two offers for Paixao. Both bids were rejected by Marseille.

Sunderland have reportedly agreed personal terms with the Brazilian. The Black Cats are still working on a deal for Sporting CP attacker Geny Catamo, but Paixao remains another option. His performances for Marseille have made him an important part of the team’s attack.

Sunderland will need to convince Marseille to change their stance if they want to sign Paixao. Arsenal could also join the race with a better offer. The Gunners may step up their interest if Martinelli completes his expected move to Saudi Arabia. For Paixao, the interest gives him more options, but there is no sign that he wants to leave Marseille.

Marseille determined to keep Paixao

Marseille remain confident that Paixao will stay at the Stade Velodrome despite the growing interest. The Brazilian is in no hurry to leave after enjoying an excellent first season with the Ligue 1 club. His performances have also made him a key player for head coach Bruno Genesio. The manager has reportedly made it clear to the club that Paixao is a key part of his plans. That has made it difficult for Sunderland to make progress despite their two rejected bids.

The situation could still change before the transfer window closes. Sunderland could return with a new and improved offer, while Arsenal may decide to make a formal proposal if they see Paixao as the right replacement for Martinelli. For now, Marseille remain determined to keep their Brazilian winger. Arsenal’s interest adds another layer to the situation, but Paixao appears set to remain at the French club unless a major offer changes their stance.

]]>
The Mykhailo Mudryk future situation has taken another turn. Chelsea have rejected a second approach from Leeds for the Ukrainian winger, as per latest transfer news. The move now looks difficult, but his summer story is not over yet.

Chelsea shut the door on Leeds

The latest update is a blow for Leeds. The newly promoted side wanted Mudryk on loan. However, Chelsea have now decided against letting the winger move to Elland Road. As reported by talkSPORT, the Blues rejected a second offer from Leeds. The report also says the London side no longer sees Leeds as a possible home for the 25-year-old. That is a clear change from earlier this month. Leeds had been one of the main clubs looking at Mudryk. The player was also believed to favour staying in England.

Chelsea had already rejected an initial loan offer from Leeds on Friday, August 21. Talks then continued between the two sides. The first offer was said to be below what Chelsea wanted. Leeds were keen to keep talks alive. A new bid was then expected. But the latest news suggests those efforts have failed. Leeds had been trying to bring Mykhailo Mudryk to Yorkshire on loan. The move was seen as a way for the winger to get regular football again after a long spell away from the game.

Mykhailo Mudryk wants a fresh start

Mudryk’s situation is unusual as he has spent almost two years away from competitive football. He was suspended after an adverse finding for meldonium. His ban was later resolved and is now free to play again. The winger returned to action for Chelsea in a pre-season game against Juventus. It was his first appearance in around 20 months. The return was an important step. Mudryk now needs regular games. That could be hard to get at Stamford Bridge.

Leeds manager Daniel Farke had been interested in adding Mudryk to his attack. The winger could have offered pace and a different style on the flank. Yet the deal has not worked out. Chelsea are still looking for a solution. The club wants Mudryk to get regular football. Several sides are believed to be interested. Brentford are among the clubs linked with him. Strasbourg are also an option. Mudryk’s own preference could also be a problem as he wants to remain in the Premier League.

Chelsea

What is next for Mykhailo Mudryk?

The failed Leeds move leaves the door open for another club. Brentford are among the teams showing interest. Strasbourg are also in the picture. Mudryk is keen to stay in England, which could make a Premier League move more likely. His main aim is simple, he wants to play regular football.

After such a long break, playing regularly may be more important than joining a big-name side. He needs time to regain rhythm, confidence and match sharpness. Chelsea must now find the right answer. For Leeds, the search for another attacking option may continue. The Whites wanted Mudryk, but the latest talks have not produced a deal.

Author’s Opinion

Mudryk needs football more than anything else right now. A loan still makes sense. But if Leeds are no longer an option, the winger may need to wait for another Premier League club to step forward.

]]>
Scottish young talent Alfie Osborne has made his move from Hearts to Chelsea, signing a long-term contract with the club. The highly rated defender drew interest from many European sides before choosing Stamford Bridge. The move is another major update for fans who are following the latest transfer news linked to Chelsea.

Alfie Osborne arrives at Chelsea

Chelsea have finished the signing of the teenage defender Alfie Osborne from Scottish Premiership side Hearts. As reported by Chelsea FC, the 18-year-old has agreed to a long-term contract. Chelsea have signed him for an undisclosed fee, but it is reported to be around £400,000. The amount is just under €500,000 and rewards Hearts for building the youngster.

An official statement from Chelsea confirmed Osborne’s arrival on 19 August. The player has signed with the Blues for a contract that runs until 2030. Before choosing Stamford Bridge, the young prospect sparked interest from a few elite clubs across Europe.

As reported by The Standard, the teenager even held talks with Spanish giants Barcelona before deciding on the move. However, Chelsea beat them to his signature. The player chose to sign with the English heavyweights to further his growth under their structured youth academy system. Initially, Hearts wanted to keep him and also offered him a new contract. He was eventually convinced that a move to London offered the best path for his career progress.

The athletic profile of the young talent

The defender has an imposing physical presence, standing at 1.94 meters tall. This height allows him to win aerial duels and bring stability to the backline. A centre-back above all, he has great tactical range. He played as a midfielder until switching to defence last season. The move from midfield to defence made him a stand-out young talent.

His impressive performances won him the B-team Player of the Year award for the 2025/26 season. His contributions include 28 appearances in the Lowland Football League, which is the 5th division of senior Scottish football. There he tested himself against senior players.

Moreover, his leadership qualities are highly evident on the pitch. He captained Hearts Under-18s to their first Scottish FA Youth Cup final victory in 26 years. He also led Scotland during their European Under-19 Championship qualifying campaign. The youngster is rising through the ranks of youth football through his leadership on the club and international stages.

Chelsea

Future plans for Alfie Osborne at Stamford Bridge

Looking ahead, Chelsea plan to place the young defender into their academy ranks right away. He arrives with senior experience from playing in the Scottish fifth tier. Initially, he will join the new academy structure known as the Cobham Next Gen youth side.

As reported by FootballTransfers, the young defender will be one of 3 centre-back options in this new revamped squad. In this setup, he will compete for a starting spot alongside other promising defenders like Dante Waite and Olutayo Subuloye.

He joins as part of a huge summer intake that features other top talent. Osborne is the 13th purchase for the Blues this summer. The transfer window costs around €408m. This shows that a major rebuild is going on in the club under new manager Xabi Alonso. Meanwhile, Osborne’s presence will boost the academy ranks as he adapts to English football. The Premier League club will be a major step forward for his career.

]]>
Alex Scott has quickly become one of the biggest transfer stories of the summer. Chelsea are preparing an improved £85 million offer amid growing uncertainty over Enzo Fernandez, as per latest transfer news. The Blues, however, want cover in place either way.

Alex Scott remains top target as Fernandez future clouds Chelsea plans

As reported by TEAMtalk, Chelsea are ready to press for a deal. That could happen if Manchester City finally submit a firm bid for Fernandez. City have reportedly kept in touch with Fernandez’s camp. However, they have publicly rejected the current valuation. A compromise could still emerge, though, if add-ons close the gap. Xabi Alonso’s side, for their part, want cover lined up regardless of how the saga ends.

Bournemouth turned down an initial £64 million bid earlier in the window. That setback, though, has not dampened interest. Alex Scott, for his part, also turned down a new deal this month. Many see that as a clear opening for suitors. That rejection, insiders say, has only sharpened suitors’ interest further.

Meanwhile, Chelsea are already drawing up plans in case Fernandez departs Stamford Bridge. Monaco’s Lamine Camara and Crystal Palace’s Adam Wharton both feature on the list. Neither, though, carries quite the same reputation in English football yet. The Bournemouth midfielder is seen above them both. That is largely down to how comfortably he has settled into the top flight already.

Bournemouth valuation still a major hurdle

The Cherries’ finances, too, are stronger than usual this year. That follows a strong Premier League campaign, so there is little pressure to sell cheaply. This resilience explains why suitors have needed to raise their offers more than once. Chelsea, for instance, have already gone well beyond a club’s valuation before. Their pursuit of Morgan Rogers earlier in the window made that clear.

Football finances have shifted a lot this window. Several midfield deals elsewhere in Europe have already passed £100 million. Against that backdrop, an £85 million package looks far less steep than it might have. After all, the target is just 22, with a full Premier League season already behind him. That context matters when judging whether this fee looks reasonable.

Bournemouth, however, see their homegrown talent as central to squad plans. That is especially true after the club reached Europe for the first time in its 127-year history. As things stand, the south-coast side value him at close to £80 million. That is well above Chelsea’s opening offer.

Alex Scott future may hinge on Manchester City decision

For now, the Bournemouth number eight stays focused on pre-season duties. Speculation, though, keeps building around him regardless. His composure and passing range have made him a target across English football. Rival admirers, including Manchester United and Tottenham, have also shown interest at times this summer. None of that competition, though, appears to have unsettled Bournemouth just yet.

Everything may depend on what happens with Fernandez next. Should City press ahead with a payment close to Chelsea’s figure, things could move fast. Expect any deal for Alex Scott to follow almost immediately. Deadline day, now just over a week away, could still force a decision.

One thing seems certain here. Given his age and price tag, this saga looks unlikely to settle soon. Either way, Alex Scott’s next move promises to shape one of the bigger midfield rebuilds in England this year.

]]>
Newcastle boss Matthias Jaissle wasted no time this weekend, shutting down live talk about the future of Lewis Hall at St James’ Park. The German coach brushed off suggestions that Man United could sign the left-back, as per the latest transfer news.

Lewis Hall Talk Grows After Newcastle Draw With Liverpool

As reported by The Sun, the moment came live on air after Newcastle’s opening game of the season. Peter Schmeichel, working as a pundit for Viaplay, asked if the Red Devils were closing in on Newcastle’s left-back. Jaissle did not think twice, laughing and saying, “No chance!”, repeating the phrase for emphasis.

Overall, the 21-year-old had a fine game against Liverpool and kept the visitors quiet for most of the match. Late on, though, he gave away a penalty, and Dominik Szoboszlai stepped up to level the score from the spot. Even so, his display did little to cool the transfer talk surrounding him, and his overall performance was viewed positively at St James’ Park.

Anthony Gordon, Bruno Guimaraes, and Sandro Tonali have all walked out of St James’ Park this year, and Newcastle can hardly afford to lose another key figure. Man United, meanwhile, need fresh options at left-back after a shaky start to their Premier League campaign. With the transfer window shutting on September 1, time is short for both clubs.

Jaissle Sends Clear Message On Lewis Hall Future

Beyond the live TV moment, Jaissle’s words point to a broader strategy. He took charge less than two weeks ago, yet he has already made one thing clear. He will not sell top players like Lewis Hall to fund new signings before deadline day. That approach covers defenders and attackers alike.

This stance also reflects how much Newcastle have invested in him. A £32 million fee sealed his permanent switch to Newcastle, a year after he first joined the club on loan from Chelsea in 2023. Since then, he has grown into one of the better left-backs in football, becoming a regular starter under two different managers. Selling him now would undercut the project Jaissle wants to build at the club.

Reports also suggest Newcastle plan to offer him a lucrative new contract. Jaissle has even hinted that Lewis Hall could join a new leadership group, alongside senior figures like Dan Burn. That alone shows how central the Toon left-back has become to this rebuild.

Manchester United - Man Utd

What Comes Next For Newcastle Left-back

Jaissle has shut down this rumour for now, but the transfer saga is unlikely to end so soon. United’s need for a new left-back remains genuine, especially since their season has started poorly and pressure keeps building. Luke Shaw’s future at Old Trafford also remains unclear, so further approaches before deadline day would not be surprising.

Newcastle’s stance, however, leaves little room to negotiate. Jaissle’s blunt answer on live television made that message unmistakably clear. For now, the club wants to build around their left-back rather than cash in, regardless of the transfer speculation.

How this situation ends will depend largely on the rest of the market. Should Man United push harder, or should Newcastle’s other deals change the picture, things could shift quickly. Until then, Lewis Hall stays a Newcastle player, and Jaissle has made that message hard to miss. Fans on Tyneside will hope it stays that way as deadline day nears, with the England defender’s future looking settled at St James’ Park for now.

The winger is tipped to become Anfield's new summer signing.

Liverpool have gone back to the negotiating table with Paris Saint-Germain. The Reds have now reached a verbal agreement to bring in Bradley Barcola, as per latest transfer news.

Bradley Barcola soon at Anfield?

Liverpool have reached a verbal agreement with PSG winger Bradley Barcola, as reported by Fabrizio Romano. Both clubs now sound more confident than they have all summer. The reported initial fee is worth around £100m plus
add-ons that might go up to £120m.

PSG and Liverpool restarted talks over the move on Tuesday, as the Premier League club made a renewed attempt to complete a deal before the transfer window closes. The first offer from the Reds did not go down well in Paris. An opening bid of around £90 million was rejected earlier in the month.

The French side were holding out for a fee closer to £135m for their prized winger. That gap has narrowed slightly since, though it remains huge. PSG have been asking for close to £145m throughout the window. With that, there has been a clear gap in valuation between the two sides. Still, the mood around the table was upbeat rather than tense. There is genuine belief that a figure can be found before the window shuts. Liverpool boss Andoni Iraola sees Barcola as the ideal fit for his system.

Barcola’s PSG Numbers Show Why Liverpool Are Desperate

It is not hard to see why Liverpool have made Barcola their top target this summer. Since joining PSG from Lyon in 2023 for close to £40 million, the winger has become a key part of the club’s golden era.

Barcola’s all-time numbers at PSG, as per FOTMOB:

MatchesGoalsAssists
1523935

These numbers place the 23-year-old Frenchman among the most productive wide players in French football at the moment. However, game time has not always come easily. Barcola finished PSG’s treble-winning campaign as the club’s second top scorer, but was often left out of the biggest games in favour of other attacking options at Luis Enrique’s disposal. That frustration appears to have opened the door for a move.

Barcola’s trophy cabinet at PSG:

Ligue 13
Trophee des Champions3
UEFA Champions League2
UEFA Super Cup2
Coupe de France2
FIFA Intercontinental Cup1

The winger has two years left on his contract. But he had already hinted he does not plan to sign an extension, with a switch to Anfield said to genuinely appeal to him. For a Liverpool side rebuilding its attack, that kind of pace and dribbling feels like exactly what the squad needs right now.

Cody Gakpo Set For PL Switch?

The Barcola chase is closely tied to another situation at Anfield, a possible exit for Cody Gakpo. The Dutchman has also drawn interest from Tottenham and Manchester City. That could free up the funds needed to complete the Barcola deal. Losing Mohamed Salah earlier this year left a clear gap in Liverpool’s forward line, and signing a proven wide threat has become the priority before the market closes.

Liverpool

The Reds return to league action this weekend when Nottingham Forest travel to Anfield. Fans will be hoping any Barcola breakthrough arrives just in time to lift the mood around that fixture. That will likely give Iraola a new attacking option heading into the new season.

Nottingham Forest have agreed a deal worth up to £50m to sign 23-year-old Chelsea striker Liam Delap. He is set to leave Stamford Bridge after just one season, as per latest transfer news. This is a club record deal for Forest.

Forest agree club-record Liam Delap deal

Nottingham Forest have reached an agreement with Chelsea for Delap, with the transfer understood to be worth at least £45m and potentially rising to £50m with add-ons. As reported by BBC Sport, Delap is expected to undergo a medical before signing a long-term deal at the City Ground. It would be Forest’s most expensive signing, eclipsing the £37.5m they paid Ipswich Town for Omari Hutchinson in 2025.

Chelsea beat off competition from a number of clubs to land Delap from Ipswich last summer for £30m. But the striker struggled to find his feet at Stamford Bridge and was made available on a permanent transfer this summer. Last season, Delap only managed three goals in 47 appearances for Chelsea, with injuries also limiting his chances.

The striker had performed better at Ipswich before, scoring 12 Premier League goals in 37 appearances in the 2024-25 campaign. Forest have moved quickly to secure his signature after seeing several other clubs show interest. Everton were among the teams linked with the England Under-21 international, but Forest have now won the race.

Delap gets chance to revive career

The move gives Delap an opportunity to rebuild his career after a difficult season at Chelsea. Forest are looking for more attacking options after losing Taiwo Awoniyi to Coventry City. Chris Wood and Igor Jesus remain available to manager Oliver Glasner, but neither found the net during Forest’s 1-0 defeat by Leeds in their opening league game.

Delap should provide another option up front and could compete with Wood and Jesus for a starting role. As reported by Sky Sports, Tim Sherwood believes Forest could be the right club for Delap to rediscover his best form. Sherwood highlighted the striker’s physical qualities and suggested that regular football could help him regain confidence.

Delap has already gained plenty of experience despite being only 23. He came through Derby County’s academy before joining Manchester City in 2019 and scored 24 goals in 20 Premier League 2 matches during the 2020-21 season. He also made his senior City debut in the League Cup before spending loan spells at Stoke City, Preston North End and Hull City.

Chelsea prepare for another striker change

Delap’s departure continues a major change to Chelsea’s attacking options after already signing Emmanuel Emegha and Danny Welbeck. With Delap now gone, new boss Xabi Alonso will need to work out how best to balance his remaining options in attack.

Chelsea might also make a nice profit on Delap despite his lack of impact, as they paid £30m for him last summer and could sell him for £50m. For Forest, the deal represents a major investment in their attack. Glasner will hope Delap can stay fit and rediscover the form that made him one of the most promising young strikers in English football.

The striker now has a fresh opportunity to establish himself at the City Ground. After struggling for regular minutes at Chelsea, consistent game time could be key to helping Delap reach his potential.

The post Calvin Ramsay leaves Liverpool as St Mirren move confirmed appeared first on Player365News.

]]>
As per latest transfer news, Scottish side St Mirren have signed Liverpool defender Calvin Ramsay on loan for the 2026/27 season. The 23-year-old right-back will return to Scotland after struggling for opportunities at Anfield.

Calvin Ramsay joins St Mirren on loan

Liverpool have confirmed that Ramsay will spend the 2026/27 season with St Mirren after both clubs completed an agreement for the Scotland international. He left Aberdeen in 2022 to join Liverpool for around £4.1m. However, he has made only four senior appearances for the Reds since arriving at Anfield. Ramsay has spent much of his time away from Liverpool on loan. He has previously played for Preston North End, Bolton Wanderers, Wigan Athletic and Kilmarnock.

As reported by BBC Sport, Ramsay is now hoping to use his time at St Mirren to rebuild his career. The defender said he wanted to return to Scotland and show what he can do. The move could give him the regular football he has been missing at Liverpool. St Mirren have also made a strong start to the Scottish Premiership season, winning their opening two matches.

Ramsay wants regular football

Ramsay believes St Mirren is a good place for him to continue his development after several difficult years. Speaking about the move, the defender said he wanted to work hard, perform well and see where the opportunity takes him.

He also believes his style could suit St Mirren. Ramsay described himself as comfortable on the ball and someone who enjoys creating chances and helping his team attack. The Scotland international has made only one senior appearance for his country, which came in 2022.

St Mirren manager Craig McLeish also believes the loan can benefit both the player and the club. The manager described Ramsay as an exceptional young player and said regular football is important for the defender at this stage of his career. Ramsay will now hope to stay fit and establish himself as a regular starter during his time in Scotland.

Liverpool

Liverpool loan gives Ramsay fresh chance

The move is another step in Ramsay’s attempt to revive his career after failing to establish himself at Liverpool. His previous loan spells have given him experience across the English and Scottish leagues, but he has yet to secure a regular place at a major club.

St Mirren could now provide the stability he needs. The club have won their first two Scottish Premiership games and will face Motherwell in their next league match on August 30. For Liverpool, the loan gives Ramsay another chance to gain valuable experience away from the club. The Premier League side can then assess his progress before deciding his long-term future.

Ramsay will be hoping that a successful season can put him back in contention at Anfield or attract interest from another club. His main focus will be on performing well for St Mirren. A strong season could help him rebuild his confidence, improve his performances and earn another chance at the top level. Regular minutes will also allow him to take on more responsibility, build match fitness and show what he can offer over a full campaign.

Youngster Leo Black had left Tottenham Hotspur a few weeks ago. He was playing for Tottenham’s U-21 team and never made into the senior team. Now, Black has agreed to join Chelsea, as per latest transfer news. He will be an academy signing and is expected to improve their academy strength.

Leo Black will directly join his former team’s rivals, Chelsea

As reported by Football Insider, talented youngster Leo Black has agreed a deal to sign for Chelsea for free. The English talent’s contract with Tottenham expired on 30th June and he became a free agent. He did not renew his contract with the North London club. However, Black has decided to switch sides and join their bitter rivals, Chelsea. He will now focus on his development at Stamford Bridge.

The 20-year-old has shown a high level of versatility on the football pitch. He is generally a midfielder but has also played as a right back, left back and a winger for Tottenham’s junior team. Black didn’t get the chance to represent the Lilywhites at the senior level. He was struggling a lot to get into the first team and his opportunities were nowhere to be seen. As a result, he decided to leave the North London club to move elsewhere in search of better exposure.

EFL Championship club Sheffield United were interested in signing him. Portuguese team Academico FC also showed their desire for the youngster. Both the sides enquired about his availability. But he is not joining either side. Black has agreed to join the Blues. He is very close to putting his signature on a two year contract with the Stamford Bridge side. Why did Chelsea approach Leo Black?

Leo Black was a hot prospect at Tottenham for several years. He has a high ceiling of potential. In 2022, he received a scholarship offer from the club. However, it became difficult for him to make it into the first team. Several managers came and went but he was not named in a single matchday squad.

In spite of such a mild setback, the Blues have high expectations of his growth. Chelsea’s recruitment department is convinced that he can strengthen the club at the academy level. Black has represented England at U-19 rank. Besides that, he has played for Tottenham in UEFA Youth League. A two year contract at the start of his Chelsea career will give him the time to prove himself. If he develops within the academy, he will be awarded with a contract extension and promotion into the senior team.

Chelsea have some business to do at the academy level

Leo Black will immediately join the Chelsea U-21 team after signing a two year deal with the club. The Blues have paid attention towards the midfielder and have wrapped up a deal very soon. But the Premier League side have sent some youngsters away to get regular game time.

The Blues’ academy star Reggie Walsh has moved to Wigan Athletic on loan. He will spent the 2026-27 campaign at the League One club. Another academy player, Ollie Harrison has moved to AFC Wimbledon on a season-long loan. League One will provide a platform where they will develop and get minutes regularly.

The post Carlos Baleba joins Man Utd as £70m deal confirmed appeared first on Player365News.

]]>
Man United have officially completed the signing of Cameroon midfielder Carlos Baleba, as per latest transfer news. The player leaves Brighton and Hove Albion in a deal that could reach £70 million.

The Carlos Baleba Deal Took Years in the Making

Man United’s interest in Baleba was never a secret, but the numbers involved made this one of the trickiest deals of the summer. The club have paid £65m excluding £5m in add-ons, taking the total package to £70m, as reported by BBC. Brighton also managed to secure a sell-on clause.

This means they stand to benefit again if United decide to sell him further down the line. This arrangement gives both clubs something to smile about, even if United fans might wince at the price tag. The deal has been finalised for an initial fee of £65m which has the potential to rise by a further £5m to take the overall value of the transfer to £70m.

Speaking after the move was confirmed, he said, “It is an incredible feeling to join the club of my dreams. Playing at Old Trafford is always special, but the opportunity to do so as a Manchester United player will be a real honour.” He also spoke about working under Michael Carrick, adding, “I cannot wait to work with Michael Carrick. His experience and knowledge of the game make him the perfect coach to help me to reach the highest level.”

United had touched base with the Seagulls about a move before, knowing the chances of a deal were slim. But, they wanted to show their interest was genuine. Brighton’s asking price once sat well above £100 million. That gap looked impossible to close for a long time.

Why United Pushed So Hard For Baleba

The timing of this deal says a lot about United’s thinking. Just days before the announcement, the club suffered a stunning 2-0 defeat away to Hull City on the opening weekend of the Premier League season. It was a result that exposed familiar issues in the middle of the park.

Now, Baleba becomes Man Utd’s third midfield addition of the summer after Andrey Santos and Youri Tielemans. Both players made their debuts during that Hull defeat, and their struggles appear to have accelerated the push to bring in extra options.

What Comes Next For The Midfielder

Baleba has signed a five-year contract at Old Trafford, with an option for a further twelve months. This gives Man Utd long-term security over their investment. However, Baleba picked up an ankle injury during Brighton’s pre-season training camp in Austria. So United will need patience before he can make his debut.

This move takes United’s summer spending to £153 million. This is a clear sign of intent as they prepare to return to Champions League football for the first time since the 2023-24 campaign. Whether Baleba can settle quickly and lift a struggling midfield remains the big question heading into this season.

]]>
Chelsea manager Xabi Alonso has explained why Marco Palestra and Moises Caicedo missed the club’s league opener against Fulham. Both players suffered minor setbacks during the week and were not fit to feature at Craven Cottage, as per latest news.

Alonso explains Marco Palestra and Moises Caicedo absences

Chelsea began their first Premier League game under Alonso with several new faces in the starting XI. However, the absence of Palestra and Caicedo caught the attention of supporters before kick-off. As reported by Chelsea FC, Alonso confirmed that both players had suffered minor setbacks during the week. The manager explained that neither player was fit enough to take part in the opening game of the season.

“They had minor setbacks during the week, so they were not fit to play tonight,” Alonso said. The Chelsea boss also confirmed that Morgan Rogers and Maxence Lacroix would make their competitive debuts for the club. He added that both players would have important roles to play throughout the season.

Palestra and Caicedo were therefore left out as Chelsea travelled across west London for Alonso’s first competitive game in charge. Their absence was a setback, but the manager still named a strong starting XI. Robert Sanchez started in goal, while Josh Acheampong, Lacroix, Levi Colwill and Malo Gusto formed the defence. Reece James and Romeo Lavia started in midfield, with Jorrel Hato, Cole Palmer, Rogers and Joao Pedro completing the lineup.

Alonso starts with attacking approach

As reported by GOAL, Alonso’s selection showed his desire to play an attacking style from the beginning of his Chelsea career. Palmer, Rogers and Joao Pedro formed the front three, with the manager looking to use their pace and technical ability to put pressure on Fulham’s defence.

The approach quickly produced results. Chelsea scored three goals before the hour mark, with Joao Pedro, Rogers and Palmer all finding the net. For Alonso, the opening stages offered an encouraging sign that his attacking ideas can translate into competitive football. The manager has spent pre-season working with his squad, and the Fulham match provided the first real test of his methods. However, Chelsea’s attacking success was balanced by problems at the other end of the pitch.

Chelsea

Chelsea defence gives Alonso concern

Despite scoring three times, Chelsea also conceded twice during the match. Fulham found the net through Josh King and Gonzalo Garcia, leaving Alonso with defensive issues to consider. The goals highlighted the importance of having players such as Caicedo available once they return to full fitness. The Ecuadorian midfielder is expected to play an important role in Chelsea’s plans because of his ability to protect the defence and win possession.

Palestra could also provide another option once he recovers from his setback. Chelsea have a long season ahead, meaning squad depth will be important as they compete in domestic and European competitions. Alonso will now hope the duo can return soon and strengthen his options.

While their absences were disappointing, Chelsea still showed attacking quality in the opening game of the new campaign. The manager will now focus on improving the defensive side of the team while building on an attacking performance that gave supporters plenty to be encouraged about.

The post Ethan Wheatley joins Lincoln as Man United make loan call appeared first on Player365News.

]]>
Man United forward Ethan Wheatley has joined Lincoln City on a season-long loan, as per latest transfer news. The 20-year-old looks to gain more regular first-team experience in the Championship.

Ethan Wheatley joins Lincoln on loan

As reported by BBC Sport, Lincoln City have completed the signing of Wheatley from Manchester United on a season-long loan deal. The move gives the young forward another chance to gain valuable senior experience after several loan spells in the EFL.

Wheatley has made four senior appearances for United, all from the bench. Three of those came in the Premier League, while he also featured once in the Carabao Cup. The 20-year-old has spent much of the last 18 months developing away from Old Trafford. He started with Walsall before joining Northampton Town for the first half of last season, where he scored three goals in 22 League One games.

Wheatley then moved to Bradford City for the rest of the campaign, continuing to gain experience in the EFL. The striker believes Lincoln is the right place for his next step. Speaking to the club’s official website, he said he was excited to join and help the team achieve its goals.

“I played against Lincoln last season and didn’t really enjoy it, so I’m glad to be part of the team now,” Wheatley said. He also said his previous loans had helped him progress from League Two to League One and now the Championship.

Wheatley ready for Championship challenge

The move represents a step up for Wheatley, who will now test himself in the Championship. Lincoln have lost their opening two league games this season and have scored twice. However, they did beat Derby County in the first round of the Carabao Cup.

Wheatley will now hope to provide more attacking options as Lincoln look to improve their results. Wheatley said the club was a good place to showcase his ability while also helping the team achieve its targets.

His ability to play in different attacking positions could be important for Lincoln. The forward can operate across the front line, giving manager Michael Skubala more flexibility when selecting his team. The move also gives Wheatley the chance to play regularly at a higher level. After gaining experience in League Two and League One, he can now show what he can do in the Championship.

Manchester United - Man Utd

Lincoln see Wheatley as key attacking option

Lincoln sporting director Jez George believes Wheatley can make a strong impact during his loan spell. The club had tracked the forward since his first loan at Walsall and continued to follow his progress through his spells with Northampton and Bradford.

George said Wheatley has the pace, athleticism and technical ability to improve Lincoln’s attack. He also praised the youngster’s versatility, maturity and work ethic. The deal was delayed by several weeks, but Lincoln were pleased to finally complete the move. For Manchester United, the loan provides Wheatley with another chance to develop away from the pressure of senior football at Old Trafford.

Regular Championship football will give him confidence and experience as he continues to develop. Now Wheatley will be looking to make his mark in Lincoln’s attack and prove he can perform at a higher level. A successful loan spell could see the academy graduate become a regular senior option for United in the future.

The post Jacob Devaney closing in on Hibs move from Man Utd appeared first on Player365News.

]]>
Man United player Jacob Devaney is all set to make a move to Hibs, as per latest transfer news. The player will be joining the Scottish club on a loan spell this summer. At the same time, the teenage defensive midfielder has signed a long term contract with the Red Devils.

Devaney hits two targets with one stone

Devaney will play for Hibernian (better known as Hibs) under a loan spell this summer, as reported by BBC Sport. This is because he needs some more experience before he is good enough to join Man United’s senior team by the subsequent season. However, his journey with the Red Devils is far from over. The 19-year-old defensive midfielder also signed a long term contract with Man United before making the transfer move to Hibs for this summer.

Devaney joined the Manchester United youth academy at the age of six in 2013. Subsequently, he joined the senior team in 2025. However, a few months before the end of the 2025-26 season, he also played for St. Mirren under a brief loan spell.

Devaney’s stats for the 2025-26 season at Man United U21 and St Mirren, as per FOTMOB:

Will Devaney be a good fit at Man United?

Devaney is a great defensive midfielder. He is also capable of handling the midfield when needed. This makes a bright future prospect for the Red Devils, especially in the Premier League. Team manager Michael Carrick wants to bring back the golden days for the Red Devils, having experienced the same as a former player himself. He wasn’t made the team’s permanent manager for the 2026-27 season for nothing.

Man United transfer news - Jacob Devaney

What’s next for Jacob Devaney?

Devaney is currently warming up for the next season. He has a relatively clean record in terms of both disciplinary and fitness issues. He just needs to be more consistent with his performance if he wants to make a serious impact in club football. Although born in Barnsley, England, Devaney plays for Republic of Ireland at international level.

Man United are working on a younger, more energetic squad for the 2026-27 season. Players like JJ Gabriel, Tynan Thompson and Shea Lacey aim to make a strong impact for the senior team this summer. Additionally, the team has also signed senior players like Andrey Santos, Youri Tielemans, and Karl Darlow among others. Even Marcus Rashford is expected to join the squad after a good loan spell with Barcelona.

Despite the setbacks last season, the Red Devils finished the 2025-26 season on a promising note when they were placed third in the 2025-26 League table. Team manager Michael Carrick now wants to sustain this winning momentum and deliver the Premier League title this summer.

Devaney has a bright future ahead. If he proves his mettle at Hibs, there is also an opinion for a permanent contract with the Scottish club. However, given that he wants to explore his options further with Man United, chances are unlikely. If he makes it to the senior team by the 2027-28 season, the defensive midfielder can work wonders for the team’s defensive lineup. It will be interesting to see if he follows the path of Marcus Rashford or decides to play further for Hibs after the loan spell.

The post Enzo Fernandez: Man City ready to launch huge Chelsea bid appeared first on Player365News.

]]>
Manchester City are preparing to step up their pursuit of Chelsea midfielder Enzo Fernandez. The club are ready to meet his £120m asking price before the transfer window closes, as per latest transfer news.

Man City prepare Enzo Fernandez move

As reported by Football Insider, Manchester City have identified Fernandez as a major target in the final stages of the window and are preparing to accelerate their efforts. Chelsea are open to selling the 25-year-old if their valuation is met. The Blues are demanding £120m for the midfielder, a figure they believe reflects his importance to the squad.

City’s ability to fund a potential deal has improved after the departures of Rodri and Tijjani Reijnders. The sales have created room for another major midfield signing as manager Enzo Maresca looks to reshape his options. City have already signed Elliot Anderson this summer but are still looking for further reinforcements. Fernandez has now emerged as one of their leading targets.

It was previously reported on 21 August that City planned to accelerate their pursuit of the Argentina international within days. There is now growing confidence at the Etihad that negotiations could produce an agreement. Chelsea had initially set their £120m valuation partly to discourage interested clubs. However, City’s financial position following their recent sales means they could now be better placed to meet the demand.

Fernandez open to Man City move

Fernandez’s own position could also influence the situation. The midfielder is interested in leaving Stamford Bridge, potentially opening the door for City to make a serious approach. Chelsea’s willingness to consider a sale means the transfer could move quickly if City decide to meet the asking price.

Fernandez joined Chelsea from Benfica for a British-record fee in 2023 and quickly became a key midfielder. His passing, work rate and control make him an important player. However, Chelsea could still sell him before the deadline. A move would bring in a huge fee, but the club would then need to find a replacement.

For City, the possible signing would provide another top-level option in midfield. Fernandez could add creativity and defensive work, while helping to fill the gap left by Rodri. The Argentine’s experience at the highest level of football could also make him an attractive option for a City side looking to compete across several competitions.

Fernandez not City’s only midfield target

Fernandez is not the only midfielder on Manchester City’s list. The club are also looking at other options as they plan for the future. Rodri’s move to Barcelona has made a new midfielder more important. City want a player who can play deep and help keep the team balanced.

City have also made an enquiry about Crystal Palace midfielder Adam Wharton. However, Palace are reportedly unwilling to sell the England international and are expected to demand a substantial fee. Wharton has attracted attention after two impressive seasons at Selhurst Park. City scouts have followed his progress for several years, making him a long-term target for the club.

Fernandez appears to be City’s main option. The club can afford a big signing, but Chelsea’s £120m price remains a major hurdle. With the transfer window closing soon, City must decide if Fernandez is worth the fee. If City meet Chelsea’s demands, the move could become one of the summer’s biggest Premier League transfers. For now, Fernandez remains at Chelsea, but City’s interest could make his future a major talking point before the deadline.

The post Federico Chiesa handed Liverpool injury blow before Forest appeared first on Player365News.

]]>
Liverpool winger Federico Chiesa is a doubt for their first home game of the new season against Nottingham Forest. He missed the opening match against Newcastle United with a fitness issue, as per latest injury news.

Federico Chiesa misses Liverpool opener

As reported by Standard Sport, Liverpool left it late to rescue a point in their opening league game of the new season as they drew 2-2 with Newcastle at St James’ Park. Trailing 2-1 in the sixth minute of added time, Victor Munoz burst into the box and was brought down by Lewis Hall. The referee awarded Liverpool a penalty, with Dominik Szoboszlai stepping up to score with the final kick of the game.

However, Liverpool also picked up an injury concern during the match, with Chiesa missing the trip to Newcastle. The Italian was left out of the squad after experiencing a fitness issue that forced him to miss training earlier in the week. His absence reduced Liverpool’s attacking options for their opening match of the campaign.

Chiesa’s absence could become more important if Liverpool struggle to create chances against Forest. The Italian can operate in several attacking positions and gives the manager another option when trying to change the game from the bench. His availability could also affect Iraola’s plans for the weekend. With Liverpool facing a busy football schedule in the weeks ahead, keeping their attacking players fit will be important.

Chiesa fitness concern continues

Liverpool have yet to receive a clear indication of when Chiesa will return to action. The winger’s absence was confirmed when Liverpool announced their starting line-up at St James’ Park. He had already missed training during the week because of the issue. It raised concerns over his availability for the opening games.

New head coach Andoni Iraola was asked about Chiesa after the match but did not provide an update on the player’s condition. That leaves Chiesa’s involvement against Nottingham Forest uncertain. Liverpool will hope the Italian can recover in time to feature at Anfield. His return will depend on how he responds to the injury in the coming days.

His potential absence would be another challenge for Iraola as he looks to settle into his new role and prepare Liverpool for their first home game of the season. Liverpool’s medical staff will continue to assess Chiesa before deciding whether he can resume full training. The club are unlikely to take unnecessary risks with the forward so early in the campaign.

Liverpool FC

Liverpool prepare for Forest test

Liverpool will take encouragement from their ability to fight back twice against Newcastle, but Iraola will also want his side to improve after conceding two goals. The late equaliser gave Liverpool a valuable point away from home, but the manager will know that his team must be more consistent against Forest.

Chiesa could provide another attacking option if he returns to full fitness. The forward offers experience and creativity and could give Liverpool greater depth in the final third. For now, though, the Italian remains a doubt. Liverpool will continue to monitor his condition throughout the week before making a decision on whether he can return to the squad. The Reds will hope Chiesa can recover quickly as they prepare for their first home game of the new Premier League campaign.

The post Dario Essugo could leave Chelsea as Strasbourg move emerges appeared first on Player365News.

]]>
Dario Essugo has high chances to leave Chelsea this summer. The midfielder is assumed to depart from Stamford Bridge on loan. Strasbourg is the most likely destination for the Portuguese youngster. Chelsea need to sanction some outgoings from their huge squad before the end of the window.

Dario Essugo to Strasbourg on loan is a huge possibility

As reported by L’Equipe, Chelsea have listed Dario Essugo for a season-long loan. Now, clubs looking to strengthen their defensive midfield are keeping an eye on the Portuguese star. No significant buy option has been discussed yet. The Blues consider him as an exciting talent with huge potential. So they want him to develop his game at a club where he will be getting regular football.

The 21-year-old grew up in the academy of Portuguese club Sporting CP. He joined the first team of Sporting in 2023. For more exposure, he went to another Portuguese club, Chaves on loan. After returning, he was sent outside Portugal for more experience. Essugo joined Spanish side Las Palmas on a season-long loan where he delivered some impressive performances. Upon returning, Chelsea approached Sporting for the midfielder and a deal was agreed. In June 2025, the London side brought Essugo to Stamford Bridge for €22.3m, according to Transfermarkt. But the move has not been fruitful for the youngster.

After joining the Blues, he has featured in just 5 games, playing a total of 117 minutes, according to FOTMOB. Essugo had to undergo a surgery for his quadriceps injury. Hence, a loan move is the best possible decision for the young midfielder. French club Strasbourg could be his next club where he can get more game time. The Ligue 1 club which is under the same BlueCo ownership with Chelsea, has only one vacant position for a player from its sister club. Strasbourg want to reserve that position until the end of the transfer window.

Mykhailo Mudryk could head to another club on loan

Chelsea winger Mykhailo Mudryk has returned to football after almost 2 years. In 2024, he failed the anti-doping test for which he was ruled out from professional football for 4 years. But due to some changes in the rules and regulations of doping test, his suspension was reduced to 2 years. After serving 2 years of suspension, the Ukrainian forward joined his team in the pre-season. He kept himself fit during this time.

As reported by BBC, Mykhailo Mudryk could move somewhere else on loan alongside Dario Essugo. Xabi Alonso’s side have made a proposal to Strasbourg for the 25-year-old on a temporary basis. But Mudryk has no interest to join the Ligue 1 side. Both the players are in search of regular game time. A loan move within the Premier League is also on the cards.

The Chelsea-Strasbourg transfer relationship continues

Strasbourg have already got Filip Jorgensen and Genesis Antwi from the Chelsea on loan. The third and final spot will be expectedly filled in this month. The Alsatians need to strengthen their squad as they have already lost their first league game of 2026-27 season to Marseille 4-0.

Two other players from Chelsea, Deivid Washington and Omari Kellyman will also join the French side. These moves are on permanent basis. They have also signed striker Jacobo Ortega from Real Madrid’s academy.

The post Victor Osimhen handed Arsenal transfer ultimatum appeared first on Player365News.

]]>
The summer transfer window is reaching its final days as the current English champions search for a world-class striker. The latest transfer news links Arsenal with Galatasaray forward Victor Osimhen as a long-term target. However, financial hurdles have complicated the deal.

Victor Osimhen must make huge wage sacrifice

The Gunners have identified the Nigerian forward as a key target for this summer. However, the deal has faced a major roadblock. At present, Galatasaray pay the forward an annual net salary of more than €20m, which is around £17.1m. That large package amounts to almost £360,577 per week. However, the London club have set up a very strict wage system.

As reported by Metro, the club have told the striker that he must lower his salary demands to close the deal. The higher-ups in London have no plan of making an inflated contract offer. They don’t want to disrupt their well balanced salary structure. Hence, Arsenal have handed the striker a clear condition.

Victor Osimhen must decide whether he is willing to make a sacrifice to secure his move to the Premier League. The choice rests entirely on the player. He can either keep his high salary or accept a pay cut to pursue a new challenge in English football.

Can Osimhen transform Arsenal’s attack?

Fans and pundits believe that Victor Osimhen could be the key missing piece for the champions. His great physical presence and elite finishing can help the team. In terms of stats, he has kept up a brilliant scoring rate. He scored 26 goals and made 8 assists in 38 matches across all competitions last season. In addition to these numbers, he has elite physical traits. He has the pace, strength and stamina to excel in any top division.

However, buying the Nigerian forward can prove to be an unwise move. Arsenal already have strong offensive options in their squad. Kai Havertz has started the new campaign in fine form, scoring a fine goal during the season opener against Coventry.

Besides that, Arsenal spent heavily to secure Viktor Gyokeres last summer. They also have Gabriel Jesus, which suggests a new striker is not an urgent need. Instead, many argue that Arsenal should focus on bringing in an elite left winger to balance their attack.

Arsenal

Arsenal Turn to Osimhen After Julian Alvarez Setback

The pursuit for Osimhen started after failed efforts for Julian Alvarez. Arsenal held talks with Atletico Madrid to discuss the Argentine forward. However, Alvarez has no plans of coming back to the Premier League and instead prefers a move to Barcelona. This forced the club to shift their focus to other elite targets, which led to their pursuit of the Nigerian.

Meanwhile, this deal also remains difficult due to the stance of Galatasaray. As reported by GOAL, their president, Dursun Ozbek, remains certain that the striker will not be sold this season. The Turkish club previously showed its firm stance by rejecting a massive €130 million bid from Saudi side Al-Hilal.

If the Gunners want to break their resolve, they must push the player to lower his wages. They must also make an irresistible offer to the Turkish Club. In the end, this huge transfer relies solely on the striker agreeing to a hefty wage cut. Unless Osimhen accepts it, Arsenal could end the talks. The club may instead focus on other key areas to build up their squad.

The latest transfer news involves Liverpool, with Dario Osorio in the spotlight. The Chilean winger looks like a real target for the club. He is fast, skilled and plays several attacking roles. Liverpool want a new option on the right wing, and Osorio fits the bill.

Liverpool open talks for Dario Osorio transfer

Liverpool’s icon Mohamed Salah has left the club this summer. His exit has left a major gap on the right wing that the team must fill. At the moment, there are very few right-wingers out there on the market who can rapidly improve the squad. This has forced the Anfield team to explore fresh, long-term options.

As a result, scouting efforts have led the club to Denmark, where Dario Osorio has excelled. As reported by TEAMtalk, Liverpool have made contact for the winger. However, the deal is not simple by any means. Midtjylland directly declined a bid from the Reds which was around £6 million. This fell way short of their estimate.

Osorio is under contract with Midtjylland until June 2030. The Danish club are thus under no pressure to sell. They are holding out for a much higher fee of around £17m. They intend to drive a bidding war to exceed their record sale. The club higher-ups have admitted that a sale is almost certain this summer.

Dario Osorio offers range and attacking quality

The 22-year-old Chilean international is a quick, direct, left-footed right-winger. Born in January 2004, he played in Chile before moving to Denmark in 2023. He is 1.84 meters tall and has a good physical presence to match his technical qualities. He can go inside and trouble defenders in one-on-one situations. The player is also versatile, playing as a right midfielder, attacking midfielder, or even a central striker.

His defensive work rate is just as impressive. The Midtjylland technical director, Kristian Kjaer, praised the transition runs of Dario Osorio to the backline. He even drew parallels with another Chilean great, Alexis Sanchez. Osorio has produced very good numbers for his side. He has scored 23 goals and provided 18 assists in 117 games.

Moreover, he has won the league title and the Danish Cup. His European stats include great goals in the Europa League against Hoffenheim and Real Sociedad. At the start of the 2026/27 campaign, he has given 2 assists in 3 starts, playing 270 minutes in the Danish League. He has also won 29 duels and made 19 defensive recoveries. Liverpool can use his skill set to restore their attacking threat in the Premier League.

Liverpool faces competition from across Europe

Meanwhile, Liverpool aren’t the only ones in this race. Massive interest has sparked a fierce transfer race. Their Merseyside rivals Everton are also tracking the player. Leeds and AC Milan are also watching the matter closely. These clubs can ideally ensure he gets playing minutes, which can be difficult at Anfield. This can complicate Liverpool’s pursuit.

Initially the club were most interested in signing Paris Saint-Germain wingers Bradley Barcola and Ibrahim Mbaye. This deal would have cost them over £150m. However, the high asking prices from the French side have stalled the contract talks.

That is why Dario Osorio has become an appealing plan B for the team. The young winger stands as a low-risk, high-reward prospect who is ready to take the step to a higher level of football. All in all, Dario Osorio’s solid numbers and versatile profile make him a reasonable option for Liverpool.

]]>
Nottingham Forest have entered advanced talks to sign Chelsea striker Liam Delap, as per latest transfer news. This is a move that could reshape both clubs’ attacking plans before the transfer window shuts on 1 September.

Forest Eye Bold Move For Liam Delap

Forest are working hard to finalise a deal that would bring Liam Delap to the City Ground this window, as reported by BBC. The 23-year-old has been made available for transfer by Chelsea. The west London club are setting an asking price close to £50m. Delap has already been training away from the rest of the Blues first team.

Given that, it is a clear sign that his future lies elsewhere. It still isn’t fully clear whether Forest are chasing a permanent transfer or a season-long loan. Although a straight sale remains more likely at this stage. The good relationship between the two Premier League clubs has helped talks move along smoothly. Now, Forest have pulled ahead of other suitors including Everton and Newcastle United, who were also monitoring the striker earlier this summer.

Delap’s shoulder and hamstring injuries disrupted his first season badly. He ended the campaign with just one league goal. That was a huge drop from the twelve league goals he scored for Ipswich the season before. Now, a move to Forest would give head coach Oliver Glasner fresh attacking options. The boss is said to have played a leading role in convincing Delap to make the switch.

Squad Rebuild Continues At The City Ground

Forest have already been busy in the market this summer. They signed defender Ousmane Diomande from Sporting for £34m, along with free transfers Xaver Schlager and goalkeeper Steve Benda. Glasner’s side have not just been buying players this summer, they have also raised huge funds through sales. They recently sold midfielder Elliot Anderson to Manchester City for a club record £116m. It was a deal that instantly strengthened their transfer budget. Striker Taiwo Awoniyi also left for Coventry City for a fee close to £9m.

Should Delap arrive, he would add real depth to the forward line. He will be competing with Chris Wood and Igor Jesus for a starting role. Wood, now 34, is entering the later stages of his career. That said, it makes bringing in a younger striker a sensible long term plan. Delap has already shown flashes of real quality in English football.

Chelsea Face Squad Clear Out Before Deadline Day

Chelsea are dealing with a much bigger issue than just one exit. The club currently has 39 senior players registered. They are actively looking to sanction several sales and loan exits before the deadline as well. Delap is just one name among a longer list. Nicolas Jackson and Marc Guiu are also said to be on that list as Chelsea continue trimming their heavily stocked squad.

Delap’s situation at Chelsea has changed quickly. He was left out of the matchday squad entirely for the league clash against Fulham. He recently lost the number nine shirt to fellow forward Joao Pedro as well. This comes barely a year after he joined the club from Ipswich Town for a fee of £30m. The player signed an initial six year contract at Stamford Bridge until June 2031. Now, however, a new start away from Stamford Bridge could be exactly what his career needs.

]]>
Brighton have rejected an improved £60m offer from Liverpool for winger Yankuba Minteh, as per the latest transfer news. The south coast club wants closer to £70m for the Gambia international, and talks between the two sides are continuing despite this second setback for the Merseyside outfit.

Yankuba Minteh Bid Rejected Again

As reported by BBC Sport, the Reds saw their new £60m offer turned down on Friday. That came just days after their first bid of £50m was also rejected. Brighton, however, want a fee closer to £70m before any sale goes through. Yankuba Minteh, who turned 22 this year, remains high on the club’s list of targets.

Head coach Andoni Iraola has been open about his thin options out wide. Before Sunday’s opener against Newcastle, he admitted his squad does not have enough natural wingers. Even so, he sounded confident that help would arrive soon. In his view, this gap still needs fixing before the window shuts.

Even so, neither club has walked away from the table, with discussions reportedly still moving forward behind closed doors. Reports suggest personal terms with the player are already largely agreed. So the transfer fee is now the only real hurdle left.

Injury Adds Complication for Yankuba Minteh Deal

A leg injury has kept Yankuba Minteh out of action since early August. He is not likely to return until October at the earliest. Even so, this setback has done little to cool Liverpool’s interest so far. Still, it does raise fair questions about squad planning this season. After all, paying close to £70m for an injured attacker is never an easy call.

Brighton signed him from Newcastle for £30m in 2024, and he has since built a strong record on the south coast. Across 73 appearances for Brighton, he has managed ten goals and nine assists, mostly from the right. Those numbers help explain why Brighton rate him so highly, injury or not. In short, his form has lived up to the billing around him.

Liverpool, though, are not relying on just one name. Paris Saint-Germain forward Ibrahim Mbaye has also emerged as another right-sided option for the club. Even so, fellow PSG player Bradley Barcola still sits above both of them as the top target out wide. For now, at least, he remains the priority signing.

Liverpool

What Comes Next in This Transfer Saga

Speaking to Jamie Carragher on Sky Sports this week, Iraola addressed the wider rebuild plan directly. He said signings will definitely follow, even if some deals only get done close to deadline day. What matters most, in his words, is where the squad stands by September 1. Until then, patience seems to be the priority for now.

These comments follow a summer of big change at Anfield. This year has seen Mohamed Salah, Andy Robertson and Ibrahima Konate all depart the club. Meanwhile, Curtis Jones, too, is edging closer to a £30m Inter Milan switch. On the other hand, new arrivals such as Victor Munoz and Ronald Araujo have already come in, alongside defender Jeremy Jacquet.

For now, both clubs seem willing to keep talking rather than walk away. Brighton have shown before that they can hold firm in Premier League deals, and this one looks no different. Either way, the saga looks set to run until deadline day. All told, it remains one of the more closely watched stories in English football this summer.

]]>
Manchester United have confirmed Marcus Rashford will wear the number 9 shirt this season. The move ends confusion after he was left off the matchday programme without a squad number. It also settles fresh transfer talk around Man United, with the club sharing the news just before kickoff.

Man United clear up Marcus Rashford shirt number confusion

Rashford was the only player left off the printed squad list before the trip to Hull. As reported by talkSPORT, the final call on his shirt number came after the programme went to print. United shared their full squad list two hours before kickoff, naming Marcus Rashford as the new number 9.

The forward used to wear the number 10 shirt before his loan spells at Aston Villa and Barcelona. That shirt went to Matheus Cunha after he joined the club last summer. Many fans had thought Rashford would wear number 14, the same shirt he wore in Spain. He also wore number 9 in the pre-season friendly against AC Milan. That now looks like an early hint of the final choice.

What the new number means for Rashford’s future

The number 9 shirt carries real weight at Old Trafford, and it does not get handed out lightly. It was last worn by Rasmus Hojlund, who left the club for Napoli in June 2026. From a tactical perspective, it sends a clear message to the whole dressing room this season. The club wants him to lead the line, not just drift out wide as before. Barcelona chose not to make his move a permanent one this summer. They used their transfer funds to sign Anthony Gordon from Newcastle instead. That choice sent Marcus Rashford straight back into Michael Carrick’s plans for the new season.

During his loan year in Spain, he built up 25 goal contributions across all competitions. That kind of return shows sharper finishing than in his last years at Man United. His United record also stands out, with 87 Premier League goals for the club alone. Add that scoring history to his pace and directness, and the case for building an attack around him looks strong.

Carrick praises Rashford’s sharp return to Old Trafford

Michael Carrick has been open about how well Rashford has settled back into the squad. Speaking before the trip to Hull, the United boss praised his forward’s recent training form. As reported by GOAL, he said: “particularly bright, particularly sharp,” adding that the forwarrad “looks really good.” Carrick also noted that a shorter summer break, around three weeks, helped Marcus Rashford keep his fitness levels high. The manager explained that players do not lose much conditioning over that short a break. He added that managing minutes across the whole squad will matter over a long football season.

That carefulf approach suggests Carrick sees Rashford as part of his plans for the long run, not a quick fix. The transfer window remains open, though nothing in his current form points to an exit. Even so, the shirt number and the manager’s public praise both point the same way. Rashford’s near-term future looks set to be at Old Trafford, leading the line in the Premier League this season.

]]>
Curtis Jones has left Anfield after 16 years at the club, signing for Inter Milan in a permanent deal that ends a spell which began when he was just nine. Liverpool have confirmed the move, as per the latest transfer news. It closes a long chapter at Anfield.

Curtis Jones Completes Move to Inter Milan

As reported by Liverpool FC’s website, the move still needs to be cleared by FIFA, and the Reds have thanked him for his service. Curtis Jones joined the club at just nine years old and made his first-team debut in 2019, under Jurgen Klopp. Two years on, he took the armband as the youngest player ever to captain the side.

During his time at Anfield, his trophy haul at the club reached six pieces of silverware, with two Premier League triumphs among them, plus the FA Cup, two Carabao Cups and the Club World Cup. He also played in a Champions League final in 2022. But regular starts got harder to find once Arne Slot took over in 2024, and that change pushed him to look for a fresh start.

For a boyhood fan, this was never going to be easy. Still, at 25, he wanted regular football at the top level, more than a fight for a place in the squad, and that is what shaped his choice to move on.

How the Curtis Jones Transfer Fee Was Agreed

Inter Milan had wanted him since January, when the Reds said no to a loan deal with an option to buy. Talks picked up again in June, but Liverpool turned down a bid that was still too low. This month, though, Inter finally confirmed the signing after coming back with a fee close to £30 million. In many ways, that patience shows why Inter felt confident enough to hold firm on their valuation.

The final fee is around £30 million, made up of a fixed fee plus some bonus add-ons, along with a ten per cent sell-on clause. Curtis Jones has signed a five-year deal in Milan and will reportedly earn a substantial weekly wage under new boss Cristian Chivu.

That clause matters, since it means Liverpool could earn more if Inter sell him on for a profit later. Many thought this deal would drag on until the last days of the window, but things moved fast in the end, and the numbers lined up sooner than most expected.

Liverpool

What This Means for Liverpool and Andoni Iraola

Curtis Jones leaves a central-midfield group of four behind, with Ryan Gravenberch, Alexis Mac Allister, Dominik Szoboszlai and Wataru Endo now fighting for a spot under Andoni Iraola. His exit also ends a long run of local talent in the first team, following Trent Alexander-Arnold’s exit last summer.

For now, this fee looks fair, not huge, especially with high-value player sales like Elliot Anderson’s £116million move to Manchester City pushing prices up this summer. Still, Liverpool were not forcing him out. It was the player himself who wanted a new chapter, and that says a lot about how he saw his future.

Iraola has said he wanted to keep his midfielder, but he also praised young Trey Nyoni as a ready replacement. With more than a week left before the window shuts, expect Anfield to stay busy, and this fee may end up paying for the next signing rather than leaving a gap.

The post Kenan Yildiz: Spalletti tells Arsenal “offer whatever you want” appeared first on Player365News.

]]>
Arsenal are still in search of fresh attacking talent. The club has regained interest in Juventus winger Kenan Yildiz, as per latest transfer news. With that, the response from the Italian side has arrived as well.

Spalletti Shuts The Door On Kenan Yildiz Deal

Juve coach Luciano Spalletti wasted no time addressing the transfer talk when he spoke to reporters over the weekend. His words left little room for doubt about where the club stands on Yildiz’s future. The coach also spoke about the personal side of the situation.

As reported by ESPN, Spalletti said: “I experience it calmly because the player is Yildiz. From my point of view, it’s simple, they can offer whatever they want, I want to be able to field Yildiz next season.” He stated that Yildiz is someone who knows his own path and does not need outside noise to guide him.

Spalletti added: “Yildiz is a guy who is perfect to have mature conversations with. And consequently, he knows very well that he shouldn’t rush anything, that he shouldn’t speed anything up. His future is already important at Juventus.”

Spalletti went further when pressed on the financial angle, making clear that no transfer fee, however large, would change the club’s thinking this summer. “It’s not important because someone offers 100 million or because there is a club that has the financial power to spend at this moment,” he said. “He is already at the club that offers 100 million for him. So, we are all very calm.” Those comments read like a direct answer to Arsenal. Those words show a coach fully backing his player rather than preparing to cash in.

Yildiz’s To Stay at Juve?

He joined Juventus from Bayern Munich’s academy in 2022 and signed a contract that runs until the summer of 2030. That gives the club plenty of security over his long term future. The player’s numbers support Spalletti’s confidence in him. Yildiz finished last season with 10 goals and 6 assists across 36 Serie A appearances.

Those are figures that placed him among the most productive young attackers in Italian football. His performances earned him Serie A’s Best Under-23 Player award for the season along with two separate Rising Star of the Month honours.

Arsenal Are Still Watching The Turkish Star Closely

Arsenal’s interest makes sense given their current situation in attack. Gabriel Martinelli’s future at the club remains uncertain. The Gunners seem keen on bringing in a forward who can play across the front line. Yildiz fits that profile since he can play as a winger or in a more central attacking role.

The north London club had also been monitoring Vinicius Junior before he agreed new terms at Real Madrid. They showed interest in Bradley Barcola and Morgan Rogers as well. That pattern shows Arsenal are being selective. They are only chasing players they believe can genuinely strengthen a squad built to compete for major trophies.

Juve finished last season in sixth place with 69 points. They were way behind champions Inter Milan. Now, Spalletti is now preparing for his first full season in charge after his October appointment. Holding on to a talent like Yildiz will matter greatly to that rebuilding project. That explains why Turin is standing firm against any approach from the Premier League.

Ismaila Sarr could leave Crystal Palace this summer. As per the latest transfer news, Liverpool have emerged as a shock destination for the winger this window.

Ismaila Sarr emerges as Liverpool transfer target

As reported by CaughtOffside, Sarr has grown tired of life at Selhurst Park. He now wants a fresh challenge somewhere else this summer. Turkish club Galatasaray have long wanted to sign him, and their boss Okan Buruk is pushing hard for the deal. Reporter Nezvat Dindar said Palace still do not want to sell their star man, even though Sarr clearly wants out.

Sarr did miss Palace’s recent game against Everton, though that was down to a groin issue rather than the transfer situation. Dindar’s claim about Liverpool’s interest stands separately from that absence. He confirmed that the Reds have also shown real interest in signing him. Sarr is contracted at Selhurst Park until 2029, so Palace would only sell for a significant fee.

Sarr’s stats for the 2025-26 season at Crystal Palace, as per FOTMOB:

Sarr’s record against Liverpool makes the rumour believable

Sarr has been a strong and steady performer in the Premier League for several years now. His numbers against Liverpool stand out more than his record against most other teams. He has scored seven goals and added two assists in just ten appearances against them. That kind of return against one of the league’s toughest defences is not easy to find.

A player who already knows how to hurt Liverpool could settle in fast at Anfield. This kind of scoring record matters more than most transfer rumours. It shows real quality against strong opposition, rather than only against weaker sides in the league.

Sarr turned 28 in February, an age many see as the peak of a winger’s career. His time at Palace has already brought silverware too, with the FA Cup and Community Shield both won along the way. He also helped the club lift the UEFA Europa Conference League title last season, finishing as the competition’s top scorer and its best player. A move to a bigger club would test him against a higher standard of opposition.

Liverpool

Tactical fit and what it means for Liverpool

Liverpool have been linked with several attacking players during this summer transfer window, but they are yet to add fresh legs out wide. Their front line still lacks depth on the flanks heading into a season under new head coach Andoni Iraola. Ismaila Sarr brings genuine pace, direct running, and comfort in any of the front three roles. He does not need one fixed position, which gives a new manager useful options early in his tenure.

That flexibility matters even more across a long Premier League season shaped by fixture congestion and injuries. His link-up play and sharp eye for goal could ease pressure on Liverpool’s other attackers, particularly if squad rotation becomes a factor under a new coaching setup.

Iraola’s Bournemouth sides were known for fast wide players and switching shape mid-match, and Sarr’s profile fits that kind of demand closely. A player who can drift inside or stay wide gives a coach more than one way to break down a stubborn defence, and that kind of adaptability is increasingly prized in modern football.

It is still not fully clear if this transfer will happen before deadline day. Palace do not seem ready to let their star man leave the club easily. Sarr’s next move could shape the rest of his career, and fans on both sides will be watching closely.

The post Amad Diallo injury update emerges after Man Utd lose to Hull appeared first on Player365News.

]]>
Amad Diallo was a shock absentee from Manchester United’s matchday squad against Hull City, and Michael Carrick has now explained why. The news comes amid a fresh wave of injury concern at Man United, after the Ivorian picked up a knock in training just days before kickoff.

Carrick confirms the reason behind Diallo’s absence

As reported by The Standard, nobody expected Diallo to miss out until the teamsheet was confirmed. He had featured in four pre-season friendlies and played a full hour against AC Milan just a week earlier. Carrick had also not flagged any fresh fitness concern during his pre-match press conference.

Speaking to MUTV after the game, Carrick confirmed the injury had only emerged in the final training session before kickoff. “He just picked up a niggle right at the end of the week, in training. We’ll assess that and see where he’s at,” he said. He followed up by saying Diallo had been in good form and looking forward to the season, calling the timing disappointing but insisting it was part of the game.

Diallo’s stats in the 2025-26 season at Man United, as per FOTMOB:

The numbers behind Diallo’s importance to this team

Amad Diallo was far from a bit-part player last season, managing two goals and three assists across 32 Premier League appearances during the 2025-26 campaign. He also found the net twice for Ivory Coast at the World Cup, arriving into pre-season in strong form. Losing that kind of output, even for a short spell, disrupts more than just one position in the side.

Tactically, Diallo offers Carrick a direct, ball-carrying option who can stretch defences from wide areas, something the current front line lacks without him. Without that threat on the right, United struggled to break down a well-organised Hull side, and it showed as they fell 2-0 behind at half time to goals from Semi Ajayi and Nobel Mendy.

United dominated the second half with 70% possession and six shots on target, but could not find a way back, and the game finished 2-0 to Hull. That kind of result against a promoted side on the opening weekend is a warning sign United cannot ignore heading into a long campaign.

When could Amad Diallo return to action?

Carrick’s tone suggested the issue is being treated with caution rather than alarm, and nothing points to a long-term layoff. Diallo could realistically be available for United’s first home league game against Ipswich Town next weekend. If that timeline slips slightly, a return for the trip to Everton in early September looks like a fair alternative target.

Benjamin Sesko has also returned to full fitness around the same time, giving Carrick fresh attacking options to rotate through the front line. Mbeumo, Dorgu, Cunha and Rashford can all operate wide in the meantime, softening the impact of Diallo’s absence for at least a couple of matches.

Resting Amad Diallo now rather than risking him further looks like the sensible call given his injury history. He has already missed 61 matches through injury problems in his career, including a serious knee issue back in 2023 and an ankle problem in early 2025. Managing that risk carefully now, even if it costs United a spark out wide short term, should protect a player who has quietly become one of their most important attackers in English football this season.

Andoni Iraola wants Alexander Isak to do more than score goals this season. As per the latest Liverpool news, the coach wants his striker creating space for team mates too.

Iraola wants more than just goals from Alexander Isak

Isak is now the only fit senior striker at the club. Hugo Ekitike is still out after ankle surgery and is not expected back until closer to the turn of the year, and Mohamed Salah has left the club this summer. As reported by ESPN, this puts more weight on Isak going into the new campaign. Iraola said the striker has trained every single day and has not missed a session all summer. He also pointed to Isak’s four appearances for Sweden at the World Cup as proof that his fitness levels are finally where the club needs them.

Even so, goals are not the only thing on his mind. Iraola said his main work with Isak is about his movement without the ball. He wants the striker to open space for others, not just chase his own goal count. That could mean dropping deeper to drag defenders out of position, creating room for runners like Wirtz to exploit.

Wirtz has moved back into a central role after playing wide last season under former manager Arne Slot. Isak scored four goals in 22 appearances last season, while Wirtz finished with seven goals and 10 assists in all competitions, yet the pair combined for a goal only once, when Wirtz set up Isak’s strike at Tottenham in December. Building a stronger understanding between them looks central to how the Reds attack this season.

A tense return to Newcastle

Liverpool’s trip to face Isak’s old club Newcastle carried real weight going into the new season. He forced his way out of the club last summer after a long standoff, so fans there were never going to welcome him warmly. Iraola tried to keep things calm when asked about the game beforehand. He compared it to his own return to former club Bournemouth, saying it always feels special to face a team you once played for. He added that every player tends to feel extra motivation on the opening weekend.

Isak went into the game having scored just four goals in 22 appearances last term, so his fitness and sharpness in front of goal were always going to be under close watch at St James’ Park. How he handled that occasion, and the reception waiting for him there, said plenty about where his second season in the Premier League was heading.

Gakpo offers cover in attack

Liverpool have focused on adding wide players in the transfer market this summer, rather than buying a new striker. A bid worth £60 million for Brighton winger Yankuba Minteh was turned down, and the club could return with an improved offer before the deadline. That leaves Cody Gakpo as the likely backup if Alexander Isak needs rest or picks up an injury. Gakpo has played as a central striker before under former boss Jurgen Klopp, a role many wide players are asked to fill in modern football when squads are stretched thin.

Iraola said Gakpo has not trained in that role this summer, since the squad lacks enough wide players right now. Still, the coach has already spoken to Gakpo about playing as a nine again if the team needs him there later this season, particularly if injuries pile up across a congested fixture list.
